Prince Turki al-Faisal, the former head of Saudi intelligence and former ambassador to Washington and London, considered that the credibility of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia "is much higher" than that of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This came during an interview with Al-Faisal he conducted with CNN in Arabic, in which he talked about the news of the meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Netanyahu, which Saudi Arabia denied. Al-Faisal also talked about Saudi relations with America and many issues in the region, including peace and the Iranian file, And the Qatar crisis and its relationship with Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood, the Yemen war, the situation in Lebanon, in addition to the human rights situation in Saudi Arabia.

On news of the alleged meeting between Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Saudi city of Neom, Turki al-Faisal said that “Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan denied this completely, and unfortunately the media follow what is issued from Israel and do not follow what is issued From the kingdom.

He added: "The Kingdom denied this and I believe that the credibility of the Kingdom should be much higher than the credibility of a person like Netanyahu, a person accused in his country of having lied to the Israeli people in several matters, so how can they believe a liar and not believe one honest in all his previous publications.

In response to a question about whether there are preparations for normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel, Al-Faisal said: “There is no preparation for anything. The kingdom has a fixed position, and the king, in his speech to the Shura Council, stated that the Palestinian issue is the first issue of kingdom and that the kingdom is committed to the Arab peace initiative.” so : “Why is the king’s words not to be true and Netanyahu’s words to be true,".

I've always appreciated the stances of Prince Turki but the problem is he isn't the crown prince so he won't be next in line for the throne and make policy decisions.

What's also strange is the official Saudi response to Qatar wanting better relations with Turkey along with supporting the Muslim Brotherhood's electoral win in Egypt while letting the UAE which betrayed Saudi Arabia in Yemen and on the issue of Palestine just do what it wanted.

Regardless, I would have rather had Prince Turki as the crown prince. His father was a legend and Turki has always demonstrated himself to be a man of honor and principal.

The Saudis seem to be playing a double game; they want the virtue of defending the Palestinians, while at the same time of leading the charge of being Israel's best friend.

I personally don't believe Prince Turki would be the one that is attempting to take the Saudi's that route and who even knows what they're telling him.

This is King Faisal's son and he's always demonstrated himself to be a man of character.

Biggest joke of the century. Everything that comes out of the kingdom is doctored piece of crap.

Believe what? The same kingdom that said Khashoggi murder was a rogue operation?

Kingdom, for the first time, opened its airspace for Israeli commercial airliners to make their way to UAE.

But here this man is trying to tell us otherwise!

That's because Saudi Arabia and UAE are in the same boat. When it comes to foreign policy, they're a collective. I have seen it.

During the height of the pandemic, they coordinated with each other to deal with Turkey and just, in anyway possible, try to hurt its economy by barring trade, air routes and so tourism.

It's out of mind to think that Saudi Arabia wasn't consulted by UAE on the Palestinian issue, and that UAE went ahead without Saudi approval.

This is because MBS and the house of Saud is a lot weaker these days than people think. Sycophants are in short supply.

Perhaps they are looking for friends outside their country because they have very few within it?

I rather think they will never have a problem within KSA and the GCC. It is their non-Saudi/non-gulfy fan base that is dwindling.

honestly Pakistan should stay out of the whole Arab-israel thing

use Arabs and dont have any reliance on them

soon they will all fall anyway

then we can move in and clean up

Exactly right.

They want to look holy from outside.

Their strategy is to pursue other Muslim countries to recognize Israel by creating pressure. If and when a large number of Muslim countries recognize then they will pretend they are reluctantly recognizing Israel because majority of the Ummah wants this. Smart arse they are, but the whole Muslim world knows and understands their silly games.

All air passages are given, new UAE-Isreal oil line passing through Suadi Arabia .. they have old relation.. when Israeli hit Iraqi reactor .... It's better for Saudi to announce there diplomatic relations with Israel. Also, Prince Turki al-Faisal is from ex group of leaders, doubt MBS pay any heed to his statement.

Yes they seem to be playing a good cop/ bad cop game and the Israelis know it:

Here's some more from the good cop:

And here is one of the many reasons why it is necessary for them to play this game:
