hmm....actually when u will ponder...u will find its not that tuff to bake a cake these days with, free media, net, u tube and forums... just repeating the term 4-5 times in each place will make others catch up on it...

India has launched its first initiative for the possible evacuation of its nationals from war-torn Iraq with a powerful Delhi-class destroyer being despatched to the Persian Gulf by the navy.
The Indian Navy has experience of carrying out evacuations in the Gulf and it had won accolades for Operation Sukoon, conducted evacuate Indian, Sri Lankan and Nepalese nationals from the conflict zone during the 2006 Lebanon War.

According to Zee news Navy has also put INS Mysore(in Persian Gulf) & INS Tarkash(in Gulf of Aden) on standby till further instructions and also one more Ship i don't remember it's name which is already there at some place. And as well as 2 IAF Transporter aircraft(C17 & C-130J Super Hercules) as well.

Three warships? That's a good order, but shouldn't it first return, re-stock, dump some sailors back on Indian soil and then make room for the stranded folks? There would hardly be any room for both sailors and citizens.

Well that's nowhere mentioned whether there's any space for stranded or not. Maybe it's already spacious. And as those two other warships are just being deployed from here in gulf maybe those will be pretty much spacious and plus those two transport aircraft. BTW does all these including have enough space to accommodate 10k people? That's pretty huge number.

It would take too long to sail back to India do all that and then to the Mid East, the point is these ships have to be ready to arrive on scene as soon as possible.

Don't you think IAF should do more and send few more transporters? Just 2 is nothing. Navy is already doing it's part very well. And Army cannot help them anyhow in transporting them to India. It'd would take days to evacuate 10k people.

Good Move by GOI.. 3 warships as a first phase to evacuate stranded citizens is commendable.. For those who are kidnapped, since its a Modi gov, I think he will certainly have a plan B if talks fail.

Looks more like posturing to me.You never know BJP might be playing to the gallery of 50 million Shias of India. These ships deployment in gulf makes sense only if they are tasked to secure our energy requirements but there are no imminent threats.Or may be they are allowed to push their way in Iraq's water(invited or uninvited) if there is heavy loss of Indian's life on Iraqi soil at the hands of genocidal ISIS. Mind it there are 10000 Indians in Iraq.

But nevertheless they can always escort a hired cargo carriers or two full of Indian citizens to the safety of Indian waters.
