President Trump launches military strike against the Al-Assad regime

Dear, Muslim world is divided on Syria...One camp (GCC/Turkiye) wants to remove Assad while Iranians want to save his ***...This divide can be seen here on PDF as well...

Don't know the position of Malaysia, Indonesia or Pakistan regarding that...May be neutral...

Let's accept it. Most current issues within the Muslim World are because of Sectarian Islam; they are all Sunni-Shia related.

Islam came as one brotherhood, but soon Mankind's greed began dividing it as it had always done before. Unless we learn to unite under the only unadulterated source of Divine guidance we all have, i.e. The Qur'an, we'll never regain our lost glory.

If people want to know why Trump did what he did....

this 4min clip should make it clear....His approval ratings are historically low. The Muslim ban is stuck in court...the healthcare bill fell apart...Flynn had to step down, Bannon and Jared are clashing and he has an approval rating of 36%

But, the media love war - it loved the wars in Iraq and american might being displayed makes for great ratings all around. Trump gets easy, risk free military action (essentially a warning shot at Assad)...it changes nothing on the ground, but he gets to look tough and earn kudos!

Trump has been getting an absolute hammering...but, listen to the clip (and it's not just people on Fox aka Trump TV)

Syrian jets take off from air base US missiles struck

Syrian warplanes took off from an air base which was hit by US cruise missiles on Friday, and carried out air strikes on rebel-held areas in the eastern Homs countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The US Navy had fired dozens of missiles at the air base near Homs city in response to a chemical attack this week which Washington and its allies blamed on the Damascus government.

The British-based Observatory, a group monitoring the Syrian war using sources on the ground, said eight people had been killed in the US attack.

The extent of the damage to the Shayrat air base was not entirely clear, but the Syrian warplanes had "done the impossible" in order to continue using it for sorties, the Observatory told Reuters.

They really aren't. That's the easy superficial answer.

The real answer is - very little of the muslim world is led by genuine leaders. The people are oppressed by dictators, 'kings' and despots. People who are constantly working to keep their grip on large populations - the west of course doesn't help by cozying up to these dictators and then discarding them when they are no longer necessary.

Saddam was a great secular guy against the evil mullahs - he got greedy and went after Kuwait...got smacked down. But that wasn't enough...all of a sudden - he was the devil incarnate. The rest is history.

Power, control and influence has the Saudis and Iranians butting heads. The Ayatollahs in Iran constantly talk about the devil because, they hope it'll keep the population from looking at their own leaders...and so on and so on.

This can't be real.

Americans have repeatedly stated that this attack was not intended to destroy that airbase. That they had alerted Syrian and Russian forces stationed in that airbase about this attack before it happened. That they allowed Syrian and Russian forces to move some of their assets out of that airbase before striking it.

Do you expect Americans to be that friendly when they are serious about destroying something?

This operation was just a WARNING. You an fire a shot at a water tank to warn someone. You don't have to kill a person for it. Try to comprehend what is being disclosed here.

And I am not an Israeli. You might be the false-flagger here. Idiot.
A WARNING. Why? I thought the US wants Bashar to go. I mean has Bashar stepped out of line already. Why give a warning? It does not make sense.

MOSCOW. April 7 (Interfax) - Nikolai Kovalyov, former director of the Russian Federal Security Service and a State Duma deputy, said he is surprised by the inefficiency of the U.S. missile strike on the air base in Syria, saying that over $70 million was spent, but the goals were not achieved.

"One cruise missile costs 1.5 million or two million [dollars] [...] at least $70 million was launched at Syria, the result, I believe, is five deaths. It amazes me. Why, what for? The goals are different," Kovalyov told reporters on Friday.

The Russian air defense combat units in Syria are on duty round-the-clock, the Defense Ministry said.

The S-400, the S-300 and the Pantsir air defense systems protect the Russian air group at the Hmeymim airfield from the air, the Russian ministry said.

"The Russian air defense system in the Syrian Arab Republic is aimed at protecting certain facilities and objects. The S-400, S-300 surface-to-air missile systems and the Pantsir-S1… complex provide solid protection to the Russian bases from the air," ministry's spokesman Ifor Konashenkov said.

He emphasized that the S-400 and Pantsir systems provide guaranteed protection to the Russian air group at the Hmeymim airfield, while another air defense group deployed in Syria consists of the S-300 and Pantsir systems is protecting the Russian Navy logistics center in Tartus.

"Combat calculations of the Russian air defense systems in the Syrian Arab Republic are on duty around the clock."

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced its plans to bolster and increase the effectiveness of the air defense system in Syria after the United States carried out attacks against a Syrian armed forces airfield.

On Thursday night, the United States launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Syrian military airfield in Ash Sha’irat, located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the city of Homs. US President Donald Trump said the attack was a response to the alleged chemical weapon use in Syria's Idlib on Tuesday, which Washington blames on the Syrian government.

Russia described the attack as an aggression against a sovereign state.

Following the US military action, Russia decided to suspend its memorandum of understanding on air safety over Syria with the United States, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The S-400 system was deployed at the Hmeymim following the Turkish Air Force's November 2015 downing of a Russian Su-24 bomber on the Syrian-Turkish border.

In October 2016, the Russian Defense Ministry said that a S-300 system was sent to Syria to ensure the safety of the Russian naval base in Tartus. According to media reports, the system deployed in Syria is S-300V4 — NATO designation SA-23 Gladiator — that is capable of striking tactical and strategic aircraft, medium-range ballistic missiles, tactical missiles as well as cruise missiles.

According to this Russian General, it takes time to prepare missiles to perform such attacks, and as such these missiles were prepared for the attack before the chemical attack on civilians. Any thoughts?
