And wars are fought by paper tigers. Right. You were also at an advantage in Cyprus till the turks whooped uWe have
The Turkish Air Force has
- 153 F-16C/D Block 30/50/52/52+/52+ Adv.
- 24 Mirage 2000-5 Mk.II
- 6 Rafale F3R
- 35 F-4E PI
- 245 F-16C/D
- 48 F-4E Terminator 2020
By the end of the year,we will have 3-4 more Rafale and about 8-9 F-16Vs
If we add a squadron of Mirage 2000-9 to all that,it would be nice.
And our Air Force also has better AA systems than the Turkish one, which is just fielding its first indigenous ones, except the S-400s of course.
Who told you that we were "at an advantage" in Cyprus? It was the complete opposite. The Turkish forces had the advantage for a number of reasons. And wars are fought by paper tigers. Right. You were also at an advantage in Cyprus till the turks whooped u

They had a "**** all" policy. They went to Russia, got S-400s,got kicked out of the program, said we don't care,we'll buy Su-35s and Su-57s,they went to Russia, got back with empty hands, went back to USA,said they want F-16Vs,they got kicked again, they went back to Russia, they got nothing, they said we'll make our own stuff,we don't need any of you. Then they went back to the U.S. and asked for F-16s,to France for SAMP-T and to Russia for more S-400s...You are lucky that Turkey got removed from F35 program, god knows what Erdogan was thinking while signing the S400 deal. Forget F35, now it's hard for them to even get or upgrade F16Vs.
Yes thats what men who are defeated say.Who told you that we were "at an advantage" in Cyprus? It was the complete opposite. The Turkish forces had the advantage for a number of reasons.

My dear... all this info is readily available. You obviously have no idea about that war. So you're either ignorant or you're trying to flame me.
- The Greek Cypriot side just had a coup and the army and civilians were split between the pro-government and pro-EOKA B factions.
- Some AAA and other heavy weapons were removed from strategic positions.
- The Cypriot National Guard was fighting with T-34-85 (which lacked spare parts and had severe maintainance problems) Marmon Herrington armored cars,BTR-152s,recoiless rifles, bazookas and weapons such as the M1 Garand,Lee-Enfield, Sten,Bren, some MP-40s,some FN FAL and vz.58 rifles against a Turkey armed with M47s,M48s,M113s and G3 rifles.
- The only support that came from mainland Greece were the commandos that were brought in the island in the disastrous https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Niki and of course the men of ELDYK.
- The only naval vessels the Cypriot National Guard had, were some old torpedo boats.
- The Turks enjoyed aerial and naval superiority,as the Ioannides junta in Greece didn't send any of the brand new Phantoms or the navy to help the Greek Cypriots.

At some point this idiotic narration of "Greece is bankrupt" has to stop. Greece has been out of the IMF and the EU stopped checking us on the matter. The country has made a comeback since 2019-2020. Right now,the one who is having an economic crisis is Turkey, with 150% inflation and population complaining about food prices, salaries and pensions.Neither Greece nor Turkey is worried about a military invasion from the other. Greece is bankrupt and worried about paying its debts, and Turkey is worried about a complex refugee crisis, and instability to the south of its own borders. Oh, and Turkey also wants to be in the EU, but that's probably not going to happen of racism not on its economics strength
