President of India to address the Nation tomorrow on the eve of Republic Day 2015


The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee will address the nation tomorrow on the eve of the 66th Republic Day.

The address will be broadcast from 1900 hrs. on the national network of All India Radio (AIR) and telecast over all channels of Doordarshan in English followed by Hindi versions. Broadcast of the address in English and Hindi on Doordarshan will be followed by broadcast in regional languages by regional channels of Doordarshan. AIR will broadcast regional language versions from 2130 hrs. onwards.

Vice President Greets Citizens on Republic Day

The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari has conveyed his warm greetings to the citizens of our country on the happy occasion of Republic Day. He has paid his respectful homage to the freedom fighters and the founding fathers of our Republic who devoted their lives to the service of the nation. In his message, he has said that the Republic Day is an appropriate occasion to recall and reaffirm the cherished principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice for all, as enshrined in our Constitution.

Following is the text of Vice President’s message :

“I convey my warm greetings to the citizens of our country on the happy occasion of Republic Day. I also pay my respectful homage to the freedom fighters and the founding fathers of our Republic who devoted their lives to the service of the nation.

The Republic Day is an appropriate occasion to recall and reaffirm the cherished principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice for all, as enshrined in our Constitution. On this auspicious day, let us resolve to continue working towards building a modern, secular and prosperous society.”
