i agree that BMI at times will show you overweight, but a few Kgs (max 3) will not harm.
True. Bmi charts can vary according to different age groups (the older the better) and I'm only 16. Have less than a year to lose weight though. I'll maybe lose a limb or something.

Here's what goes around:
Initial Medical

1) Minimum Height - 5 feet 4 inches

2) Wieght - As per BMI (Body Mass Index) Chart. It is available over the net, check it out as per you age, height and build.

3)Eyesight - 6/6 with glasses.

4) Should not be color blind

5) No apparant phisical defect.

6) Yes you would have to go naked. Primarily to check that you have not grown breats or something to the effect. A guy would also inspect your gentials with his hands (though not every time) espacially the testicles.

Final Medical (after clearance of ISSB)

1) All the above mentioned checks would be redone.

2) Chest X-ray

3) Blood picture

4) Urine test

5) A visit to ENT specialist - He will 'look into' your ears for ear drum damage etc.

6) A visit to Surgical and Medical specialist.

7) Yep, you would have to go naked again. This time you will also be required to do things like bending over, showing our behind to the doc and coughing.

What about calcanial angle (Fallen arch) issue? Any remedy to counter flatten feet? My calcanial angle is 19 degree left foot andd 15 degree right foot status was medical unfit..

i am neither a doc or an engineer, so cant understand your angles. As for your question, sir if you are flat foot, you cannot join the Army. Now i am not sure if flat foot is medically treatable or not.

I applied in pakistan army in year 2009 and my medical test was cleared, when i applied again after 5 years i was referred and Screened out. Actullay i used Roads and tough tracks for running more then 5 miles a day,results my fallen arcs :(

Walking bare foot could have helped you when you were younger, i am not sure if it can now.

No it is due to massive running on road track. I was medically outstaning in 125 PMA long Course:suicide2::(
 
AOA .. Sir I had injury which causes ankle dislocation 3 years ago. My current status is I'm fit for the test. The only problem is I'm having a bit bulge of bone on my ankle Though I can use it properly. Can I pass the medical test for ISSB ?

#1 why is Xray done...?
#2 are smokers disqualified on base of Xray..?
#3 what is the minimum chest size for L/C...?
#4 what do they check in buthole...? is it checkup for any disease or is it a check up for character..?
last one is a serious question, dnt misunderstand plz.. these questions always cause confusion for me
