Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator Sehar Kamran has tried to commit suicide by taking sleeping pills in large quantity.
According to sources, Sehar Kamran was shifted to the Federal Govt Poly Clinic immediately where the on-duty doctors gave her instant treatment. She is now shifted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the clinic for further treatment.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PPP senator is also a principal of the English department at Pakistani embassys school in Jeddah. She was also awarded Tamgha e Imtiaz by the government for her services in the field of education.
