@Blue Marlin How much did your aston martin cost ?
its a bentley and i got it for about 135k. it's second hand from bentley manchester.
its early 2016 and has done quiet a bit of miles before i got it hence it was quiet low. i got it in summer of 2016.

its a good car but it lumbers around the corners. and when you put your foot down your pushed into a squidgy seat.

i may get an aston martin vanquish as they look stunning. butt the other half had a hard time swallowing the fact i brought the bentley. (she was p!$$ed)

Hi,

The DSL sucks---when I bought the house---I did not know that it did not have a hi speed connection or cable---

But what it has is worth a lot

and this picture from yesterday---the mountain top is Big Bear lake and I am standing outside in the verandah

Hi,

I am in the city---but out of the city development---which mean---neither do I have water supply---nor drainage---even the road to the house and other 10 houses is private.

So---I have my own water well and water tank for water supply on the property---as well as sewage system and septic tank---.

20170129_081747_resized.jpg

There are two pumps---see the 6 inch wide metal pipe sticking 2 ft above ground on the right----it has a 1 1/2 inch pipe going into the ground around 100-150 ft deep and it has a water pump at the bottom end----which pushes the water into the large green tank.

Then there is a small blue pump on the ground that pushes the water up the hill to the house---the small white tank is the pressure tank which holds the water at 65 psi pressure thru the water line and the blue pump kicks in at 40 psi.

Then I have my own mountain in the backyard---

20170129_081806_resized.jpg

Basically---I am in the middle of the city---but with a mountain / state park on the side of my house---but will have to pay an arm and a leg to get all those fine amenities of living like city water---high speed internet---sewage drainage and the likes.

But then I can have and raise animals like horses---goats---cows---on the property---right in the middle of the city because of the zoning when the house was built.

And to top it off---I live a few miles away from the DESERT---( Palm Springs )---. In the summer time---I feel like I am in Multan---.

foxes

no body likes foxes, they go into urban environments and cause havoc, once a fox went into a house and bit of some fingers of a baby.
some people with mico pen!s's decide to get about 3 dozed dogs and dress up like a twat and go hunting for them.

and in the lake district there's sightings of a large black cat killing sheep and deer in the lake district, apparently its a puma.

Hi,

It is tough to go hunting in southern california except for duck.

Rainy britain has a lot more game per sq mile than sunny california.

true but i prefer my meat pre killed. i only hunt them to kill them as they are classed as pests.
im looking to try to get rid of grey squirrel and get some red squirrel and re inroduce them.
the grey squirrel are an American invasive species and are driving out the native red squirrel.
you can kill them as long as if its on private land and you have the land owners permission.

No kidding. You had me and half of PDF eating our insides with jealousy but now you have a 'slight problem. Serves you right Monsieur.

@Blue Marlin I finally chose another provider. (SFR)

Just to add that I paid for 200 in down and 100 in up (with the FTTH). Everything was good in the begining, the guy told me to wait a little bit so nothing to worry. I finally got less than that and my speed are even more catastrophic as I speak.

(FTTH ? My *ss.)

Everything was good and now it's a nightmare. Now,when someone tries to fool me,I just tell them to f*ck off.
At best,I download at 350ko/s. And it's with the ethernet cable.

how quick are you changing providers? and do you pay to cancel your contract? or are you on pay as you go tarrif?

.
how quick are you changing providers?

Sorry,I am not sure to understand well your question.

and do you pay to cancel your contract? or are you on pay as you go tarrif?

I am not on contract and can leave whenever I want. But in here, you always have fees of €49 when you leave your current internet provider. Me changing two times providers within some days means that I will pay €98. Not to add that I will also have to pay €50,because my current provider made me pay €50 for setting up the TV box. Yeah,as if I couldn't do it myself

so you pay 49 euros when you cancel which is like a termination fee.
and having to pay 50 euros and then a few days later to cancel it is not the wisest move.
how much are you saving now over the current one?

Exactly. And it's like that for every provider here. But when you chose a new one, they generally propose you to pay your former provider's termination fees.

I know right, but I don't like being taken for a fool and having defective services.

Basically it's €39.99/months compared to €48/months. So,about €8. But since I am a new customer,I'll pay only €29.99 during one year. They will also pay my termination fees. This time,I will be on a 1year contract. Let's see how it goes.

isp's over here usually chip in to cancle your current contract's fees too.

what did they do? and have you got a refund.

good stuff, and dont forget to haggle just before the end of the first year. so what speeds are you getting now?

.

I'll see when I'll call them tomorrow. Going to tell them that I am not going to pay for services that didn't work well or not as well as promised. If they are going to be d*ckheads, going as soon as possible to block them from debiting any centime off my bank account.

good stuff, and dont forget to haggle just before the end of the first year.

This is already planned. :P

so what speeds are you getting now?

To be honest,I've got no idea about it. It's going to be the FTTLa and with that coaxial cable. Basically,up to 1gigabit in download and 60 in upload, depending on the area. But I know I am going to have less than that,it's sure.
