so far nothing is done yet and india has already got the Akula from russia

heard alot about PN leasing xia or han class from china.

bt nothing as of yet?

musharaf in 2005 said we got the capability of dveloping a nuclear submarine bt nothing as of yet

i think pn seriously need to look into this sector.

The on going debate was which submarine type is PN getting and the rough guess were for Song or Yuan class submarines but PN is going for Qing class submarines

Quoting from Sir pshamim
Many news reported here about PN's future plans are still langushing for one reason or the other. Like news about U-214 negotiation, we all know were true but final agreement was not signed. Not because the deal is dead but for political and economic reasons. Please believe me that this deal is not dead but on a backburner.

News below is extremely exciting but different in one respect. It was signed during Gilani's visit to China last April. We have heard about the 50 JF-17 but there is very credible report about what PN will be receiving.

Contrary to what has been reported about 039 class "Songs" or 041 class Yuan class, it is the latest variant of 041 class named "QING" class submarines for which a deal was inked for 6.

The first Qing class built for Chinese Navy was launched last year and will be going through the sea trial this month 6/2011 which will include the firing of CJ-10K LACms with a range of 1,500 KM.

QING class submarines The deal was signed between Wuhan-based China State Shipbuilding Industrial Corp (CSIC) and Pakistani Government in April 2011 is for 6 Qing class submarine, These submarines will be double hulled with a submerged displacement of 3,600 tons. It will be equipped with the new Stirling-cycle AIP and will be able to carry upto 3 CJ-10K which could carry nuclear warheds, Other features include hull retractable foreplanes and hydrodynamically streamlined sail. The AIP and the propulsion systems will be all electric and not the diesal electric propulsion system making the submarines very quiet. This propulsion system has already been tested on a number of heavier Chinese submarines.
Also Pakistan has signed a deal for 2 type 054A frigates on a 10 year lease .
Y0454A Frigates The other exciting development is Pakistan has also signed a deal for a 10 year leaso of 2 Type o54A FFGs. The two ships that Pakistan will receive are serial number 525 and 526 inducted in PLAN in 2005

There is also news that China will be transferring two Z9-EC helicopters.

well sir bt PN also need a N powered sub.
we certainly cant develop a N powered sub on our own right now
so the 2nd option is leasing a one

the han and the xia class are the oldest of the chineese N subs
i dont think china would hesitate if we ask for one on lease.

we cant afford a necular sub right now bro:cry:

this is only a excuse

when we can afford 6 qing class sub

leasing a one wont cost us billions that too from chin and too the han or xia class which are of no use for them bt for we they are good for training as well as developing one in future

ok fine we can afford one can it carry long range missiles like icbm give information on the chine’s n sub Pakistan to buy on lease

I guess we shold be able to develop our own Nuclear Sub by now...our scientists or engineers are ot so dumb that they can't even create their own Nuklear Sub at this modern time........:smokin:

I totally agree with that bro we should built one of our own:pakistan: which is impossible

say for the fun of it you get one . then what ? it will take you 3 yrs to train and get familiar with the systems . what are you going to do next? one sub will in no way stop the IN . and what happens to the trained crew you have ,once you return the sub? and operating it is not exactly cheap . you need to build an infrastructure for it especially . existing one for diesel subs wont do .

so i ask you again whats the use of getting this sub? just cuz we got one?

Yes! it is impossible with the traitors/foreign agents within our ruling elites other than that its very easy to develop any kind of Sub Nuklear or non-Nuklear....:smokin:

for us 6 diseal elctric AIP subs are much better than 2 or 3 nuclear subs..because we have a very very limited sea to petrol rather than india who have giagantic sea cost

Yes! If we want to keep ourselves Western slaves then we don't even need any Sub but if we want to get some respectable position within the top worlds nations then For Sure we need all kinds of Subs to protect our interests even within the international waters.........:smokin:

Big question is how much Pakistan can afford with defence budget of $ 5.75 Billion majority of which is spent in maintaining an army 1/2 the size of that India but 1/10 of the economy of India.

Pakistan is a $200billion economy only, they should not even think about getting a Nuclear Sub, let alone even getting one sadly enough.
