Actually, Iranian students continue to come to the U.S. to study, though under Trump their visa applications aren't approved so quickly. And FWIW I've never heard it said that Iranian-Americans experience any kind of race problem - certainly the ones I've met never say so to me.

Yeah they come to 'study' with the objective of staying in the west, same with many Iranians who studied in Iran seek a job abroad simply to leave Iran.

Studying is one of the easiest ways to settle in the west for anyone in the world, all it requires is a brain that works a bit and some money that can easily be earned back.

Quite a few return to Iran to work for the mullah regime. For details, you can read Reza Kahlili's book, A Time to Betray.

We don't want the US or the jews , hopefully when pershian people travel abroad and get more insight we will expell the remaining 40,000 jews back to where they belong .

Not going to happen. The monarchy is discredited. What people don't know Iran has strong leftist stream [Tudeh] and they along with the Islamists brought the monarchy down. They are still there in the background.
It was President Carter's 'two weeks" moment!!!! But, he was decent enough to keep it to himself!!! The Shah understood it in full clarity!!!! Don't know about the Iranians, but the elders of my family, who were mostly civil and military officers, couldn't hide the gloom in their faces learning that the Shah was gone....

Iran before 1979 was much better.

@undertakerwwefan

Iran source important stuff from Russia, China and DPRK from time to time. Do not be misled into believing that they develop everything on their own. They are not re-inventing wheels.

Iran's advanced military hardware is used to turn Syria (the cradle of arab civiliztion) to hell . (into)

Yes, I can relate with that. Almost all my Iranian acquaintances except for the die hard monarchists [minority] went back to Iran. Many got jobs and avoided going in early 1980s [although few even then went back] because of the certain draft into Iranian Army and onto the meatgrinder on the front lines against Iraq.

Syria wasn't Arab until after the Arab conquest in the 600s. Syria history is not Arab history.
Actually strictly speaking only the Arabian peninsula [most of the oily kingdoms] are true Arab. Rest like Syrians, Palestinians, Egyptians, Lebanese, Libyans, Tunisians, Algerians, Maroccans have separate feedstock and history. They are as Arab as English speaking Jamaicans are English.

Its the opposite in the USA most never went back after 1979 many of them stayed, I was in LA recently and in neighborhood of Westwood all the Iranians there were pro-monarchy some Afghans there too who lived in Iran as well here in NY most Iranians were immigrants who came during the Iran-Iraq War or left in the 1990s

The craziest story I heard from the 1980s was from the student whose dad was Iraqi and mother Iranian: both sides wanted to draft him into their armies! His only hope to avoid such a fate was to maintain top grades, thereby keeping his student deferment.

As I havn't seen iran before 1979 well I prefer not to make any choice here.

He is gathering shit ,even the one around him don't believe in him. They just there to see if they can made any gain.

That's not what I hear.

From fellow Iranians.

They say he's more the grandfather than the father.

I'd listen ....

You know I love my land and people ...

Cheers, Doc

What is your source ?

Iranians.

No names ....

Some I've met in Europe. But mostly the US.

I've never set foot on my soil yet ...

Cheers, Doc
