Police, Rab enter Khaleda house premises

Today judges, govt employees, journalists, doctors and army officers who do not have a residence get land for residence because of their professional consideration. These govt employees also get some sort of loan facilities for building homes.

Rationale for allotment of Home for Zia’s family:

1) Ziaur Rahman as chief of army staff did not get any land from govt or did not have any residence for him and his family like thousands other army officers or govt employees did and do.

2) Ziaur Rahman did not live in the comfort of Bongo bhaban while he was the President saving the nation crores of taka and did not get any consideration of land or residence.

3) There are many muktijudhha families who benefitted for the role of their family member, Zia or his family never claimed anything for his heroic role in our independence either.

4) Not to mention today army officers family get cores of taka (in cash and property) if the officer dies in the line of duty.
It was and is only logical and there are so many valid reasons to allot the house he lived in serving Bangladesh until he died.

There is nothing legal or logical about this eviction; this is done out of political vendetta using flimsy Rajuk two residence rules which has no application in this case. Would Hasina and her regime dare to apply the Rajuk rules where it really matters – on many army officers and govt employees (ex and current) including many of her associates????? I dare you will not get any answer for this question.

Yet this is amusing, people reading lines from Hasina’s years of venom against this house without even knowing or considering facts.

Precedence set by Awami regime:

Precedence 1:
All government allotment and leased and even registered property potentially be under question. Including one leased to foreign entities.
For example, every lease govt had awarded including one to multinational companies like Chevron or indian company is and could be put under review.

Precedence 2:
If appeal in Supreme Court is no longer matter for final judgment then Awami League regime essentially invalidated requirement of Bangladesh Supreme Court and its role in justice system.

Example set by Awami Regime:
If Awami League Prime Minister and her administration can defy court proceedings and use state gun power to evict opposition leader then Awami cadres will simply use this as an example to further intensify looting from ordinary people and business. Anyone home and business is potential target now.

. .
Who is executing Awami regime instruction in Army.

Maj general Mainul Hossain who had been appointed BDER DG and was court marshaled for Ziaur Rahman killing is executing Awami regime instruction. Word is (not verified) army chief and quarter master general who oversee Cantonment board activity are out of the country. It is important to note Maj general Mainul Hossain born in india and migrated to Bangladesh. He in his interview with as BDR DG justified BSF killing of Bangladeshis.

Why ISPR statement is invalid and propaganda

ISPR did not take journalists before they entered the house. After forcefully evicting KZ from house and keeping the house in possession for more than a day, ISPR statements or current display of Zia’s residence has no shred of credibility. In legal term ISPR showcase at the moment is tempered one and cooked up propaganda. After Roopshi /Kayedpara incident, Bangladesh army further downgraded itself as armed “mastn” than a national defense force.

Evidence of force entry to Khaleda Zia's bed room:

The door of the bedroom in Khaleda Zia’s house in the Dhaka cantonment has marks of strike near the latch plate.

An interesting little post in bdmilitary forum (by user 4ak) has drawn my attention:

The Attorney General on ATN said yesterday that he was surprised to see that senior lawyers of BNP TH Imam, Moudud Ahmed and Rofiqul Hoq had erred in not asking stay order from the HC. In his opinion they deliberately did not ask for stay order thus clearing the way f the govt to evict her which is thus FULLY LEGAL. They just wanted to create a scene of a sobbing widow done wrong. This was a staged show and the script was written sometimes ago. I just felt bad for some stranded passengers who had to wait the whole day to get onto their destination and suffer because the drama had not taken account of the pending eid.

Hmm. Not something these dirty politicians can't do for political mileage.

Former military men back Khaleda

Dhaka, Nov 15 (bdnews24.com) — A group of high ranking former military men, consisting mostly of BNP supporters, have dismissed the 'defamatory' allegations of the military public relations department against Khaleda Zia.

They said the statements of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) claiming that the BNP chief had been abusive towards defence personnel during the evacuation of her cantonment house were aimed towards 'character assassination' and a bunch of 'political lies'.

The former officers were speaking to reporters at a press briefing on Monday at the BNP chief's Gulshan office to counter the ISPR briefing of Sunday morning.

Former army chief and BNP standing committee member Lt Gen Mahbubur Rahman said, "The responsibility of this unprecedented propaganda against the opposition leader using the military will automatically come round to the prime minister as she is the defence minister as well."

"The ISPR had planted different articles beforehand at the [cantonment] house and then called in reporters. This is incredible." The former army chief also slammed the government for abusing the name of armed forces in such a 'lowly act'.

"The patriotic armed forces were certainly not involved in the eviction process." Rahman speculated that the government was spreading propaganda to taint the defence forces by using the military public relations department.

The former defence chief said Khaleda had herself asserted that there were no army officers during her eviction. "In fact she had pointedly asked whether there were any army officers present."

There is no question of her hurling abuses at army personnel since only RAB and police personnel were present there, Mahbub said. "There were no ISPR officials present at the house either."

The former three star general also criticised the military public relations for stating a 'false number' of Khaleda's domestic aids. "Only 12 hands used to work their. Many of them used to live at the servants' quarter with their families."

Strongly criticising the government initiatives to evict Khaleda, Rahman said, "The government now wants to shift the blame and responsibility on to the armed forces."

The briefing was attended by a 26 high-ranking military officers including former air force chief Air Vice Marshal Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Air Vice Marshal Fakhrul Azam, Brig Gen A S M Hannan Shah, Wing Commander M Hamidullah, Maj Gen Fatemi Rumi, Brig Gen Anwar Chowdhury, Major Sayeed Eskandar, Major Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Commodore Shafique Rahman.

Hasina at her best.

A 2.72 acre house inside Dhaka cantonment was leased-for-life to her at only taka 1 by other military rulers. She would have done better of she have left the house earlier.
