First of all, it is Bangladesh, not Bengal, a Freudian slip? West Bengal is part of Bengal, we have nothing to do with it. Like Suhrawardy or Mujib or other RAWami Bengali Nationalist, you are still living in dreamland of united Bengal?
Jamati's made a mistake based on their ideology, but we cannot punish them for their political views. Only those that had any part in war crimes should be punished, but most who were adult at the time have either died or retired, current generation of Jamati's have very little to do with 1971.
Its debatable who is the Mir Jafar here, as I explained in thread after thread. If it was not for Hawa Bhaban and Tareque Zia's well publicized corruption, RAWami's would not have a leg to stand on. Your cognitive dissonance about RAW's machination in our land mass since 1960's despite what B Raman says in his book, is simply astounding.
Zia according to many Bangladeshi's was the greatest leader we had so far. He was a freedom fighter and a good leader that created BNP based on Bangladeshi Nationalism to counter Indian RAW supported RAWami Bengali Nationalism. So that right there is an achievement. Also he was personally honest. But like every human being he was not perfect and no one is claiming that. Many say that he was killed by RAW hand in Bangladesh.
As long as the two Begum's are alive, the two Dr's you mentioned I believe do not have a snow balls chance in hell to make any difference, may be those who are now in Bangladesh can clarify or inform. MUA/FUA tried it and failed and RAW/India took advantage of that fiasco to bring back RAWami's.
But in principle, I support a grass root non-political civil society campaign for the long term, which I mentioned before.
