Yep. In fact a party that wins 2/3rd majority can make any law it sees fit as long as its not against the spirit of Islam and the Parliament cannot pass any law that restricts future Parliament from changing it.

So yes they can pass this bill and the legally the supreme court cannot strike it down.
In fact the most greatest stone in front of the removal of the Sadiq and ameen clause was the fact that in Islam the ruler is supposed to be exactly that which makes it very hard to change it and would definitely be challenged.

As for convicted criminal. No he is not. He has been removed and barred from prime minister ship bcz he did not declare wealth and he is under investigation but he is not a criminal otherwise the verdict would have stated him as such and would have given appropriate punishment but the. Court cannot do both bcz the supreme court is not a trial court.

Infact the power of Parliament is so strong that it could remove every Islamic clause in the constitution and make it only the republic of Pakistan.

men in boots are keeping themselves away and clean from this political circus. these so called elected reps keep whining about the military establishment doing all this and yet, fail to provide a single shred of evidence that men in boots are somehow involved. Having said that, it's good for the men in boots that these filthy pond scum bags keep complaining about the military without providing any proof... it only makes the military that much more loved and popular in the eyes of the public when they see mercedes and bmw driving overweight politicians with mansions abroad whining about the brave, military men in boots sitting on tanks and trucks in the sweltering heat protecting the nation.

As for the judges, they too are civilians and make judgements according to the well known norms of justice and the law. unconstitutional amendments have been trash canned by the supreme court through the histories of all the democratic countries in the world including the united states and england. amendments that are even remotely against the Quran and the sunnah have been thrown out before in Pakistan and will be thrown out again.
