Cadets of various courses undergoing training at Pakistan Military Academy conducted Fire Power Demonstration and Battle Inoculation Summer Session 2010 Exercises today at Tilla Ranges.

Cadets participated in the exercise with full ardor and resilience displaying high standards of professionalism. Fire Power Demonstration and Battle Inoculation Exercise were also witnessed by a group of young cadets from Military College Jhelum. They were enthralled after witnessing highly professional and synchronised training activities conducted by Cadets from Pakistan Military Academy.

Special feature of the exercise was engagement of targets by Jet fighters of Pakistan Air Force, which was followed by accurate pounding of targets by Artillery, destroying fortified positions of the enemy.

Major General Raheel Sharif, Commandant Pakistan Military Academy witnessed the exercise and appreciated the training standard displayed by the cadets. He specially congratulated Pakistan Air Force and other participating units on their professionalism, dedication and smooth conduct of the exercise.

Hmm I thought we had women in Medical and Engineering Corps only.

Simply awsome practice makes perfect we are very proud of our men and women of our armed forces GOD bless.

Pakistan has a volunteer army and there are plenty of men who can be soldiers. Women are not needed in combat in the current situation. What is next women fighting terrorist and Talibaan?

The Cadets could not have conducted a fire power demonstration, they at best would have witnessed it.

There is a very clear benefit of having women in any male dominated job, such as front line armed forces...If the women do good, the men will do even better.

But what if the men are lazy and already have their egos crushed by their mothers for joining the army?

why not? Maybe they don't in India but they surely do in Pakistan. These are called battle inculcation exercises with live rounds. As you can see even the Lady Cadets participate.

Sir,

Thats just the point. Battle inoculation & a Fire power demo are two diff things.

Battle inoculation is a routine training event done for recruits, cadets & soldiers to familiarise them with battle conditions. This is done with live ammo.

A fire power demo involves weapons & weapon systems that are beyond the purview of cadets - the world over and as the word suggests, a demo is witnessed while inoculation is carried out.

you are right , usually fire power demo is "done" for every Long course (cadets) but it is not done by the cadets , all the different types of tanks are fired , artillery pieces and now its seem the air force is joining in aswl .
