PM PHONES ABU DHABI CROWN PRINCE, CONDEMNS HOUTHI ATTACK ON UAE

Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday telephoned Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and condemned the heinous terrorist attack by Houthi militia on civil facilities in the UAE.

The prime minister affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the UAE and rejection of any threat to the security and sovereignty of the Emirates, UAE’s official news agency WAM reported.

He also offered his condolences for the victims of these attacks and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his thanks and appreciation to Prime Minister Imran Khan for his sincere feelings towards the UAE and its people.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack on civilian areas by the Houthis in Abu Dhabi on Monday that claimed several lives, including a Pakistani national.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar, in a statement issued here on Tuesday, said Islamabad offers condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

He said such attacks violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and pose a grave threat to the regional peace and security. He said Pakistan calls for their immediate cessation.

On Monday, three fuel trucks were exploded, killing three people, and a fire broke out near Abu Dhabi airport in what Yemen’s Houthi group had said was an attack deep inside the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the region’s commercial and tourism hub.

Pakistan should help by sending in 10 Divisions of PA to help the Emirates and not give empty words. Of course the Emirates should pay all the costs.

Would be a lot more useful to test a few JF17s with precision pods. Paid for by the UAE.

Eventually that experience could be used in the coming IAE-Pakistan class :D

10 Divisions should only be sent if want to conquer UAE.
This war has dragged on for too long. This only prolongs the suffering for all sides. IMO, It may be time for Pakistan to join the UAE against the Houthis.

We should only provide defensive support with our strategic aims.
10 Divisions should only be sent if you want to conquer UAE.
We have to counter the Iranian and Israeli threat somehow otherwise UAE will be history.

How will Pakistan move 10 divisions (100,000+ troops with equipment) even if UAE pays for the operational costs ?

I am sure the US can help but same way as we managed to get 60000 soldiers into Middle East , 20K of which are in KSA.

They’ll drive there via Chaman.

Context to that joke is Ive convinced many Pakistanis they can drive to Dubai and go to Quetta by boat

Yeah - pretty soon men from Majlis will be seen blowing stuff up in Pakistan then. Iran’s power over a certain sect is frightening to say the least.

I doubt USA will spare airlift capability for the stupid adventure Arabs have going in Yemen. You are on your own. I checked the PAF has 15 C-130s. You can airlift 3000 troops in couple of sorties a day. It will take 20 days to send the soldiers. We won't talk about the heavy equipment.

Are you guys sure you would want to participate in a military conflict between the Arabs and the Iranians? Yemen is, after all, an Iranian vassal at this point. It would have a significant impact on your projects with Iran.
