Whatever they're saying about the role of government and army, and provincial government. All that aside, as the provincial government, it's they who are in charge of Karachi. And it's their responsibility to deal with infrastructure long term, and emergency response in short term. They've failed at both multiple times, year on year, every year. Karachi needs its own devolved power, have been saying this for a long time.

What is army supposed to do? They will clean the city and move on, they are not the one who will build permanent infrastructure nor its their job, neither racist corrupt PPP will ever.

PM is just trying to calm Karachiites voters with this lollypops, the only real solution is imposing governor rule.
