PM should not drag Pak army. There are institutions for cleaning in Karachi

This is a case of ends justify the means. Who cares how its done just get it done if its army or billo rani's tranny gang clean it up!

As per the Pakistani Constitution, the Civil govt can call the army to aid in civil matters.

Province govt literally just sat by watching, doing nothing to help the people of Karachi. The 18th Amendment made it so that its province govt responsibility. The Province govt controls institutions that function as cleaning up. But they just sat by, and didn't even uses those institutions. Since they failed to act, Federal govt had to bring in the army to assist with civil work.

Why not? Karachi is in urban disaster situation which cannot recover without help from the army

I'm of the view that we should shed this notion that the army is responsible for cleaning up the civilians mess. Army steps in because the civvies shirk their responsibilities. Ideal situation would be to let the civilian setup collapse rather than give it support.

There are institutions for cleaning in Karachi , Sindh government

So where are they and where were they?

I completely agree, that's not their role so what do we do then?

It's time to lock up these liberal/secularist ideological terrorists that hate Islam, hate the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, refuse to assimilate and have been destroying our country since independence while campaigning against it since the 30s.

This is Turkey under secular/liberal rule in the 90s:

Garbage on the streets, garbage in the rivers and no access to clean drinking water.

They were the European Pakistan before the righteous Islamic leadership of President Erdogan.

Erdogan and the AKP Partii may not be perfect but he proved something to all of us, our problems aren't because of random, poor, stupid kafir's like Sikhs and Hindus or anyone else but rather the creation of liberal/secularists that have infested our countries politics and do it immeasurable harm.

How long will we "tolerate" this?

Cleaning Karachi is not a small job, it is a massive project which requires mass mobilization of resources including manpower and heavy machinery. Since no effort has been made by Sindh Government, over the past 10 years, the accumulation is now a major disaster and needs special attention.

Even the Army, despite all the resources at its disposal, will need serious commitment merely to clean the flood-ways. And after all that effort, without maintenance, we will be back in this situation next year. What Army needs to do is making Karachi autonomous similar to Islamabad so that the local Government gets all the funds and power and only then will:

1. Karachi prosper and
2. PPP will go down the drain! and will eventually phase out of existence without the massive funds they get in the name of Karachi.

Do you agree with the talk of Sindh government?

The military has a specific purpose: to protect the country from hostile enemies. Roles in other areas should be limited unless absolute necessary.

How hard is it getting multiple waste management companies to take care of all this? Considering this is a very large city, tax every household 1500 or more per month for waste disposal. Once the city is clean enough, enforce fines upto the tune of 5000 per person AND 2 weeks internment with the waste disposal company so that people learn to be civilized.

Whatever they're saying about the role of government and army, and provincial government. All that aside, as the provincial government, it's they who are in charge of Karachi. And it's their responsibility to deal with infrastructure long term, and emergency response in short term. They've failed at both multiple times, year on year, every year. Karachi needs its own devolved power, have been saying this for a long time.
Federal government surpasses provincial and has higher authority and can intervene at own discretion

Agreed. Unfortunately the lack of response by Sindh govt and rampant corruption and misgovernance has created a state of emergency in Karachi. It is normal world over to use armed forces to assist in civil matters where manpower is required.

What is army supposed to do? They will clean the city and move on, they are not the one who will build permanently infrastructure nor its their job, neither racist corrupt PPP will ever.

PM is just trying to calm Karachiites voters with this lollypops, the only real solution is imposing governor rule.
Don't you have patience...5 to 10 days things will be clear..mr noni leage n ppp supporter

Army always a part of disaster relief teams. If PPP or MQM fail to perform then no need to pass controversial statement for those who can do this job. Plus FWO has much experience in handling mega size disaster then these provincial or local govts. Or best opportunity for PPP and MQM to clean the city before NDMA start working . Will be big win for PPP and MQM.
