PM Modi's Address at United Nations General Assembly

Neither can I pur kehneiii mein kiyaa hurrj haii ! :D

Because doing so ensures that @levina Apa will spend the next few nights lying awake & going back again and again to the mirror to confirm whether she looks like a Burmese or not ! :azn:

Its called Psychological Warfare ! :smokin:
Gee, I like that strategy. Sounds more like physiognomical warfare. There was a time during school-days when I too was wrongly accused of being an East Asian, especially when I laughed.

. . . . .
Dont try sarcasm on me,it bounces over my head 8-)

Now for some reason I feel that its not easy to drill sense into a man's head when all he can think of is his immediate future and profit.Myopic view of future wont help!
I hope make in India brings investments to India but not at the cost of our "flora and fauna".
Orelse we will need hundreds of projects to clean our rivers like "clean ganga".Btw they began cleaning Ganga 25yrs back and 've not been able to clean it till now.Imagine!
Yes, it was the immediate future of the dead which was the main reason why family members started cremating their dead on the banks of ganges or must have been the Nehruvian school of vision which convinced people to dump the industrial waste directly into it as its known to cleanse the dirt !!!

.
@Ayush @Indischer @Ravi Nair - I always knew that this Burmese Immigrant* needs to be kicked out of India so that Patriotic Indian Women can take the Nation forward !

* I can't get those eyes out of my mind....I just can't ! :fie:

If you are a South Indian with those eyes than I'm Abraham Lincoln ! :undecided:
Neither can I pur kehneiii mein kiyaa hurrj haii ! :D

I am not taking that bait.8-)
I have ended up getting a few warnings just because I happened to reply back to your posts.
And if this is part of your psychological warfare then get ready for a nuclear bomb. :coffee:
I am sure if we do a little bit research we will find many possible ways to deal with pollution without compromising on our growth .
Amen to that!

I dont care which government did what.
But I dont want to see history getting repeated. I hope Modi is not the next Obama.

I cant answer your questions Dray because media feeds me with contradicting articles like on one side I hear kudankulam NPP is unsafe and on the other side I read that it was some US and Scandinavian NGOs fueling the protests.

kudankulam NPP is as unsafe as any other modern nuclear power plant in the world. But what is absolutely safe in the world? Tomorrow I will go to office via the horrible Kolkata roads - A study by the department of epidemiology, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (Nimhans), Bangalore, predicts that India will witness 200,000 road deaths every year and that 3.5 million road accident victims will have to be hospitalised annually by 2015. And for every road death in India, there are 15 life-altering injuries and 70 minor injuries. So should I stop going out? We need more energy, and 'safe' sources of power are not sufficient to meet our energy demands as of now with present level of available technology.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Speech at Madison Square :

* PM conveys Navaratri greetings to everyone.

* There was a time India known as a land of snake charmers. If you were not there, the perception would have stayed

* Winning elections is not about any post or chair. It is a responsibility. Since taking over, I haven't even taken a 15 min vacation

* There is an atmosphere of hope and enthusiasm. India wants change

* I promise 'I will never let you down.

* I am aware that you all have several expectations from India. Even the people of India are expecting a lot from the Government

* We are a youthful nation with a very old culture

* There is no reason to be disappointed. India will progress very fast and the skills of our youth will take India ahead

* If the nation has to progress then good governance is essential:

* I request you all to look at MyGov. Please visit the website and see how you can get involved.

* PM invites NRIs to take part in '‪#‎MakeInIndia‬' project.

* Today world has demand for teachers, nurses etc. Indian youth can meet all these demands if their skill is developed.

* Mahatma Gandhi never compromised on cleanliness. He gave us freedom. We should give him a Clean India

* The will power of 1.25 crore citizens of the nation is my strength.

* India should be proud of these 3 things - democracy, demographic dividend & demand.

Switching from NPPs to cleaner sources of energy slowly, shuting down one NPP at a time, financing researches specially in the field of renewable sources of energy might help.
AFAIK NPPs 're not that dangerous to operate or even live near! The worst part (regarding danger) is what we do with the waste! The used up radioactive material is dangerous for thousands of years so its important to keep it away from living beings.
And about TPP we all know that it emits a lot of CO2, this is one of the reasons for climate change. But then I think earth has a complex heating system so I am not sure how to approach the TPP issue.

Thats like telling me just because the chances of a smoker getting lung cancer is less, theres no harm in smoking.
It makes no sense!

I am not against "make in India" ...but I do hope Modi govt. is able to implement it well.

I have a solution for nuclear waste, just launch it into space towards the sun to incinerate it, or dump it on mars 8-)
