ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan 's response over the much hyped issue of Khawer Maneka spat with DPO Pakpattan Rizwan Gondal has surfaced.


Imran Khan has decided to distance himself from the Khawar Maneka incident.

PM had summoned a report over the issue and he has been informed that there was no pressure on Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) to remove DPO Rizwan Gondal, a private media outlet reported.


According to reports, the premier took the decision following a report of the Punjab government, in which it had stated that the police officer used social media to turn out to be a “hero”. It also said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar didn’t remove Gondal and that he was removed on falsely narrating the series of events.

Last week, a police team led by Gondal had briefly intercepted Khawar’s car after he didn’t stop at a check post despite being signaled to do so. Khawar was also believed to have misbehaved with the policemen.

Imran termed the dispute an internal matter of police, while the Punjab government will now oversee this matter.

It is good he distanced himself because that's a provincial subject and if he starts to take notice of every BS by the media...then innalillahi wa inna alaihi ra'jeoon. He can't govern the country. He has to understand this that media will try to distract him so he has to comtrol his temptations. He should maintain his composure, focus on his agenda and let the institutions do their job.

If the police officer used social media to spread lies to come out a hero, then instead of transfer, he should be expelled from the service. Make an example. Set a precedence. Nip the evil in the bud. Pass a law restricting all government employees to use social media for incident reporting and public trial.

IK took notice on the first place because involved parties were his step daughter and X of his current wife and a result most senior person of police was dismissed and media has made inquiries which goes against CM, IG and X.
Other reason was that IK is interior minister as well

Facts:

-X was carrying weapons, he over ran police checkpost.
-Why X was carrying guns? and where is the permission to carry guns.
-Why did CM called upon SSP? Why he was sitting with some one who is witness of IK's secretive marriage?
-How can IG suspend SSP without departmental inquiry! Is he running institution like a dictator?
-In any case evidence upon which IG dismissed his most senior officer, shall be made public- transparency please.
-If the person who interrogated SSP while sitting next to CM is witness of IK's accused un-Islamic marriage or his wife is, than suspicion is that Buzdar is puppy of X.​

There is an SOP to punish someone as such. Institute cannot skip due course of Law. OSD is someone without any responsibilities (On Special Duty) and waiting for posting. In the mean time, enquiry committee will complete & share its findings.
