The current strategy of the government is borrowed from a US congressional tradition called "filibustering". Not sure if any limits are defined in parliamentary proceedings. But the real threat to this strategy may come from the courts. They can follow up and unequivocally say that on x date and time the vote must happen whatever. Or there can be more defections, to the point where this strategy no longer works. It really is buying time, but unlikely to lead to any big change.
SC is interfering way to much into parlimentry affairs

This is not good for the governance in this country

Correct.
And so as of now, the only way out for Imran Khan is that enough of the Lota MNAs have a change of heart--but with the Establishment being neutral or even pro Opposition--that seems unlikely. Filibustering would delay the inevitable by some days or weeks. But then in Pakistan the Supreme Court injects itself far more than the American Supreme Court....

SC is acting on the orders of 'you know whom'...
Nope not exactly they have thier own issues and are powerful in Thier own right

Establishment is a collective where judiciary plays a big role too

Correct.

Constitutional limits cannot be breached in parliamentary affairs. If the SC intervenes here too, it will be because of the legal limits defined as per the last day of the NVC vote. These arguments of parliamentary independence wrt to the use of Art. 5 to reject the vote and dissolution of parliament have been rejected by the court, and that's not surprising IMO, constitution is pretty clear here, Art. 69 does not exist outside the scope of the rest of the document and is defined by the constitutional limit as per Art. 67.

Neutral? Man Do you live under a Boulder? Or a Fricking Mountain??

He can't resign, it's not possible while NVC is in motion.
Than why everybody is asking him to resign especially opposition even after NVC motion. I think you meant by breaking of parliament . Resignation he can. If he resigns, parliament will elect new leader of the house.

Updates...

One doubt I have about the filibuster strategy, can IK keep it up if the courts had previously said that 3rd April was the last day of the NVC vote. And since SC said that proceedings must happen today as if we are at Apr 3rd, would not having the vote be breaking the law? Might it be contempt of court? Hard to tell given my limited understanding.

No question of resignation now, go big or go home for Imran Khan.He is feeling kind of invincible may be.If SC or Army forcefully pull him down from power, he becomes siyasi shaheed, perhaps the biggest one in Pak history. He may win 200 seats next time. Also opposition is quaking in their boots. They absolutely cannot afford this siyasi shahadat to IK, only way for them is to break his nerves and force him to resign in bloodless manner
