I hope they rise above it. Shehbaz Sharif offered a charter of economy to Imran Khan shortly after the 2018 elections. I hope he makes the offer again. I would like to see Asad Umar and Miftah Ismail working together. Their collective experience managing the economy can benefit the country. They are both reasonable, amiable men. Together, they will do good for the country. It will also give Imran Khan the opportunity to safeguard his work including the Ehsas program. I hope he Imran Khan stops being petty. The country needs to legislate an economic and industrial policy designed and agreed upon by all stake holders in the country.

@Chak Bamu @Jungibaaz
Governments shouldn't have the power to go after their opponents and trump up charges. IK used every method in the book to go after his, I hope the current opposition don't do the same. An overhaul is needed.

Pakistan took a wrong turn in 60s when establishment went against Madar e Millat Fatima Jinnah. Then establishment chose to stop majority rule Pakistan in 1970, and the country lost its eastern arm.

For our establishment, Madar e Millat is Maryam Nawaz.
Even MNS is too innocent to be the mother of those who sell their motherland!

Completely flawed analysis.

Firstly, 1971 showed which side picked the right allies. US was all talk while the Soviets sent direct military help to India.

Secondly, Indians criticize Nehru's domestic socialist policies. There is not an Indian alive who is not proud of India's smart foreign policy for the last 70 years while Pakistan was a disposable slave to America. Most of the American 'aid' was bribes to their lieutenants in Pakistan.

Finally, Bajwa is an American slave. He directly insulted China by saying that the ONLY reason Pakistan uses Chinese weapons is because it cannot get Western weapons. This man is a complete disaster.

Nah. We maybe getting off topic here but a rejoinder is needed.
In 1971 neither American or Soviet involvement mattered. Only external force mattered would be China. And even they wouldn't be expected to cross some lines. All were already nuclear powers then. So wrong comparison.
Pakistan gained a lot by being an American ally and really became militarily strong and with an economy which outperformed India's most of the years from 1947 through the 1980s. India had a much stronger 'base' to build upon after 1947 while Pakistan was barely even an agrarian society. But American help, helped a lot. There are plenty of Indians who still curse the Nehru dynasty for 'picking the wrong horse' or India would have gobbled up Pakistan.
No, Bajwa is not an American slave. He is a realist. He knows the economic consequences for Pakistan--and the recent Russia-Ukraine war and the Western sanctions must have given a wake up call to all those who were still sleeping.

They would be disqualified for floor crossing anyways so elections would be held on those seats.

Who will disqualify the Munharif PTI MNA's and when. Will it be on the NCV day with denotifying them by the speaker after voting. Or the case will be in SC.

At the moment i doubt we gonna get to the election stage bro. Americans gonna replace all this british era slavery association of PDM with their more recent and tested counterparts.

Do you think timing of this is coincidence?
And here we are allowing US to undertake combat missions using our airspace. And this would turn the Taliban further against us. For all we know, it may have flown from a Pakistan airbase. Bajwa is ensuring everything goes to plan. The very lot that was always politically active and even rigging elections in favor of some local MNAs and MPAs is telling us they'll choose neutrality in the case of foreign conspiracy? Well today's judgement best exemplifies that neutrality.

People should come on roads against Supreme court's decision.
What a justice and what a wonderful constitution that allows thieves and thugs to disgrace our vote but has no audacity to hold PDM accountable for their criminal record, treachery and anti-state actions.
What a justice system that supports thieves and empowers them rather than chopping their hands off.
By restoring the 3rd April status and resuming PDM's sold out voting process they don't support transparency and pro state elements but they want Khan to leave disgracefully without leaving any trace. This decision should be challenged further on basis of US funded threat.
Disgusting
Sakoon Bhai Sakoon. Suta mar chill ker.

As always. good to listen to the outside observers. And, yes, you and I often disagree, as seen on the Ukraine-Russia thread.
Imran Khan and his party is an ideological movement. Sort of like what Trump's is. Or Ross Perot before in 1992. Imran's movement is sincere, energetic, youthful and wants to break away from the two-party chokehold--just as Trump's even though Trump is nominally a Republican.
But Imran needs to groom his successor AND his party. Zulfi Bhutto formed the PPP over 50 years ago and it remains a considerable force to this day even though Zulfi's once mighty PPP was demolished by Pakistan's Establishment. Imran is not hated by the Establishment, in contrast. And Imran has struck a chord in the Pakistani psyche--people want a change from the old, corrupt order of PPP and PMLN. But what is Imran going to do about keeping this movement past him?? Sadly, I don't see much past him unless things changes or that I am unaware of. If there is no ideological succession then Imran's legacy would be gobbled up by the two powerful remaining entities and the rest by the Mullahs.
Just like Power, Ideologies don't like vacuum. Both rush in to fill the vacuum.
What is this ideological movement you speak of? Only difference I've seen with Imran is his anti-Americanism. It has a lot of traction in Pakistan because of America's unappreciative demands from Pakistan on WoT. Anti - Americanism has compounded in Pakistan because America's natural tilt towards India because mutual interests on the China 'problem'. If you think Imran's ideology is related to Islamic welfare state and things like that, then it is easy for any other political party to poach that ideology. Real 'welfarism' is a luxury of the rich who are blessed with a large per capita availability of resources. South Asia does not have that luxury. If you think that Imran is 'corruption - free' ruler, then I've already explained that there is no such thing anywhere in the world. Every tom, dick and harry can start a party with claims that they will eliminate corruption. But will that stop an average traffic cop from making a quick buck?

What Hindutva is for Modi, I see anti-Americanism is for Imran. I think anti-Americanism is actually detrimental to Pakistani interest. The American political leadership today may have some misgivings with Pakistan because of the botched Taliban handover. But this will easily fade over time and Americans will deal with Pakistan as they deal with every other major country in a mutually beneficial bilateral basis.
