ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia on one-day official visit on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has confirmed.

Talking to media, Qureshi said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan is visiting Riyadh on the invitation Saudi leadership.”

The Foreign Minister went on to say Imran Khan will meet Saudi leadership during his one-day visit.

The visit will further strengthen Pak-Saudi relations, Qureshi added.

PM Imran Khan will return to Pakistan on Wednesday.

It will be Imran Khan’s first foreign visit as Prime Minister of Pakistan after assuming office.

The visit comes days after Saudi Information Minister visited Pakistan and met with Prime Minister Khan and other top civil and military officials.

In a telephonic call on August 12, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz had congratulated PM Imran on his victory in the July 25 parliamentary elections.

The king told Imran that Pakistan was an important ally of Saudi Arabia and the kingdom wants a close relationship with the South Asian country.

I read some where that from Saudia he will visit UAE for a day tour as well. Who knows, he may end up watching Pakistan India cricket match in UAE as well.

. .
That's what it says in the article, so I don't think he'll be going there.
No dude, I have more news beyond this article.

Back to back tours hain.. May be he will return back to Pakistan for a day but he is going to UAE as well

Who told you that? Reports are, Saudis are ready to finance Pakistan big time so if that's the case than its a must go trip. FM to attend UN session next week. No PM visit there. Morever, it's Saudia Arab who has especially invited PM recently as it was not planned by us or requested earlier.

There was a plethora of posters on PDF praising IK for saying unlike past leaders he will not be going on foreign trips as the other PM's had wasted govt resources on foreign trips and he is different.
How PDF cheered such a wise leader who will not spend time on foreign trips and concentrate on his 100 day agenda.

How is the 100 day agenda by the way. He was to cure many of the ills in the first 100 days.

Oh you don't worry. He is mostly on the right path. The tour has been explicitly organized on the request of Saudi king and UAE ruler. Some experts are predicting that Saudi govt has offered massive loan against IMF. If that's the case than it's a very important development as of now.

Try not to be dumb. I would be seriously worried he he did not make foreign visits. The differance though is just going everywere for no strong reason with whole cabal in suite and or for no a official visit designed to further policy. For instance he might be able to garner financial support from KSA to balance the huge deficits. I actually think he should have gone to UN in new York because it would have given him opportunity to engage with lots of world leaders etc.

Why don't you guys mind your own business and stop interfering in our internal affairs. This post has nothing to do with you.

@Turingsage, The initial news was indeed that he will not travel abroad for the first three months, unless he really had too and guess what ? he is going there to obtain financing that his gov't needs without IMF dictations "err US dictation." I don't think it was ever stated that he will not travel abroad at all for first three month no matter what.

Maybe he only wants to show up at the UN with something tangible to show like bringing back some laundered money, which itself will put 99.9% of the 3rd world leaders into utter helplessness (not shame for they're past it the day they're born)!!!! Imran Bey is hungry...

And, figure out how to bring the Haram money back....
