Media source of Pakistan based on their sources in Foreign Office of Pakistan are now confirming that President Erdogan after his meeting with President Bidden unilaterally announced Pakistan's name when in reality there was no prior consultation was conducted on this issue with Pakistan and it came as surprise not only for Foreign Office but for Pakistani Leadership as well

Officials of MoFA Pakistan are off the record terming this incident similar to incident of the announcement of Pakistan's name as partner by Saudi Arabia for offensive Military Alliance for Yemen.

This unilateral and non-consultative approach by Erdogan has put Pakistan diplomatically in difficult situation and now Pakistan is trying to develop understanding of strategy Turkey want to adopt in Afghanistan and also seeking a meeting between Turkish officials and Political Office of Taliban in Doha further Pakistan might try to convince Turkey to maintain noncombatant and political role in Afghanistan rater to take role "assuring the security of Kabul Airport"

It will be easy to convince Taliban to keep Kabul Airport under "foreign civilian control
" as capability related to aviation is nonexistence in Taliban's rank and file

Turkey can have whole Afghanistan, Pakistan don't need even inch. All we want this conflict don't touch our border areas. We enough suffer ... since 1980. We had the massive flow of capital and brain out of Pakistan. In return, we got heroin and Klashnkov and refugees ..and extremism ..... All partner who suppose to fulfil the promise after first Aghan war, chicken out and left thousands of hardcore foreign imported men power on the Pak-Afghan border ....and we saw the curse in Musharraf era ..

Who wants a combatant rule inside Afganistan?!?!

Some points to ponder based on the discussion from Mete Yarar, a Turkish defense and political analyst, and my inputs:
  • Afghanistan isn't the name of just another country. According to Brzezinski (the US architect of the USSR's fall serviced via Af-Pak), whoever controls Afghanistan controls the world
  • Kemal Pasha took an especial interest on Afghanistan (no Pak at that time) even though Turkey was war-torn with virtually zero resources
  • Afghanistan is too valuable to leave to the whims of the inexperienced Taliban, who aren't exactly in the best terms with the moderate Afghans. It's the recipe of further foreign-engineered turmoil with huge fallouts onto Pak
  • A Turk-Pak "hybrid" presence inside Afghanistan - completely independent of any other powers in the world - can quench the qualms of the warring parties to some extent. Here, the "hybrid" presence means almost invisible behind-the-scene actions with not the nose of a single Pak or Turkish folk bleeding
  • Such a presence can balance the other "presences". Flowers filled with honey attract the bees
  • Pak and Turkey have got everything to benefit from it with little risk. There's no "free lunch" in this Dunya! As for the "free lunch" in the Ahiret, it needs to be earned while being in this Dunya
  • Etc.

Mughal Empire formed after Babur was kicked out of his land, and end up in Afganistan, where he had his first victory. Similarly, the Turk tribes were looking for permanent land to call it home. No one would allow them permanent residency in their territory. Their journey of fight and success started after they end up in Afganistan.

Afghanistan is Pakistan's backyard. Pakistan may have other plans along with China. Pakistan does not want Turkey to end up in the Nato ploy, Pakistan vs Turkey situation, and started doing bidding on NATO behalf in Afghanistan.

Turkey is too smart to fall into a NATO trap!! Turkey is pursuing her own game plan! In fact the NATO has put a de-facto sanction on Turkey...

We will support our kin & Kith against all those who came here as an occupying force, regardless if they were Muslim or non Muslim.

Turkey came with the crusaders, turkey is an enemy of our kin & Kith hence our enemy.
When Soviet invaded you jumped on Russians lap and when US invaded you and your whole kin and kith jumped on American lap. Those who fought both times were true Afghans and we have immense respect and love for them. Not hypocrite cowards like you.

That airport is to maintain the diplomatic presence and the continuing of aid, these silly pakistanis here who don't seem to understand that it is not in their interests to have a situation of a failed state and civil war like in the 90s, b/c it means more refugees fleeing first to Peshawar, then Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. It is in there interest for Afghanistan to remain stable and for that to be a factor, the airport which supplies aid needs to be functioning.

Its in Pakistan's interests to cooperate with Turkey and have input and control in the Kabul airport b/c it can be used as leverage in discussions with the Afghan Govt. Not to mention intelligence collection inside afghanistan with regards to Indian movement in and out of the country through the airport and its contacts with the former Northern Alliance. In fact I would be surprised if the Kabul govt would be comfortable with Pakistan holding its lifeline.

Silliness to the extreme. Presence is sought on the pretext of diplomatic presence and now new clause have been added for the flow of aid. You can fly few planes for the emergency aid not a whole country population is to be fed for ever. They can land their planes in Peshawar or use our land connectivity and take it from their. Those silly Pakistani's which you are referring to belong to my country and don't bloody dare use these derogatory term again. We Pakistani's can be naive, emotional, angry at times but certainly they are not silly.

US is trying their best to keep foot hold in the Afghanistan and Pakistan and must not be part of any US game. They are defeated and Taliban are giving them the safe passage and let them get out of Afghanistan gracefully and let the victors take their country back.

"It'll be written: ISI defeated the USSR in Afghanistan with the USA's help. And, ISI defeated the USA in Afghanistan with the USA's help." - Hamid Gul Pasha

We certainly don't want to add another statement underneath to the above one

"ISI/Pakistan fell for the US trick and defeated her self in the Afghanistan"

Whatever happens after US withdrawal we just have to put up with it and this time round we have got help waiting from our friends China and Russia if things hot up. Certainly India and US will be out of the equation and in the long term our border will be secured once for all. If we go through the short term pain then so be it as we want to take take our share of the pie as a peace dividend once Afghanistan is stabilised through connectivity with the central Asia and India just have to wait till she sort out Kashmir with us to have access to central Asia. At the moment their are too many but's and if's and no one knows how the things will pan out but certainly we don't want to loose Taliban as friends after paying the price extracted from us by the India/US through spreading terrorism in our country.
Afghanistan is our neighbourly country and even at times we like it or not is still a Muslim country and let them sort out their own problems the Afghan way.
