China can massively increase increase production rate. Only issue whether is we have the money or not. But to keep CPEC safe and going we need much bigger Navy not just few missile boats which only seem to be good enough against corvettes but not bigger Frigates and Destroyers.

It's still in development, the only way we'll know for sure is if Pakistan officially places an order for them. But anything is possible in the future.

Finally some great news. I have been saying this for long time now and it seem Navy is about to adopt similar path. We need at least 24 Major Frigates which have capability of firing both long range Air Defense Missiles and Long Range Cruise Missiles. We need them and need them fast. @SinoSoldier I think China would agree to export them to us I don't see any issue with that

Warships which are made for own navies always have a different configuration than those which are made for export.
If PN goes for any new frigate, they will set their own requirements and the ships will be modified as such.

So the final configuration of the ships PN buys, will only be known after the contracts are signed.

The CG might not be very accurate of the final product. But the armament will be very close to Type 056 frigate but with bigger tonnage and the VLS SAM system.

Well than I hope they Type 57 if we go for it than has two kinds of VLS one for cruise missiles and one for Air Defence systems. As for Type 55 those are at least 8 years away
