The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) started operating special buses for school students on select routes from November 1.

Over 5.5 lakh school students in the city hit the road every day. Of that, over two lakh depend on the Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses. The already crowded buses do not stop at certain stops, making it difficult for students to reach their school on time. Photo: M. Karunakaran
