We would love to sell you the Mk2 version, but I doubt India can defy US pressure to that extent.

Not to mention the fact that Israelis would have something to say about selling you an Israeli radar, and Americans would have more than something to say about selling you an American engine!

I know mate, you are angry with the 30 year comment, but replying as such is not rational. With hard work & determination surely even Bangladesh can come up with its own indigenious fighter i next 30-40 years bar the country itself not swallowed entirely by sea. His comments reflects the harsh truth about long running LCA project, delays are not even funny anymore, hopefully one day this little bird matures & runs succesfully with the big boys, thus washing up all the blemishes from past failures.

Surely, after integration of Kaveri Engine & ASTRA BVRAAMs if your govt shows concrete interest, I am sure GOI will consider that option. But the are other factors as well, already mentioned to you by other members to such a deal.

Both i guess, our frienship dates back many many century & we are allies already in many fields. Indians are huge fan of Irani culture & progress. Not to mention your Oil .

Giving credit where it is due, I congratulate IAF and DRDO for finally achieving this milestone. Better Late then never. Is is goo that finally Asian nations are also making progress is the field of military hardware development and production regardless of the extent of European input in our designs but still the development have started indeed.

However regarding your comments, this is highly unlikely. I don't see a plane powered by an American engine, equipped with and Israeli radar and armed with weapons will end up flying for Iranian Air force!
Not unless Iran takes a U-Turn and settle all issues with Israel, accept them and bow down to US regarding its nuclear program.

Quite surprised to see a member like you who have been a part of this forum for three four years still do not understand how we work and still do not know that this is not how and why ban's are imposed. whatever it is, it is not new if that is what you mean and neither religion is a factor here.

PS : I mean that in a good way. What I mean is that it is an old relationship between two great lands and it's people regardless of which religion came and went in both of these places. says a lot. we are going to help each other a lot. I am sure Mr. Modi will extend our friendship towards Teheran too.
