Persian Gulf 'within Iran's missile reach'

The Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are fully within the reach of Iranian long-range missiles, a top commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Saturday.

"The IRGC's surface and sub-surface systems as well as ground-to-sea missiles with very long ranges cover the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman," Commander of the IRGC's Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadawi was quoted by Fars news agency as saying.

He also said the IRGC has invited countries in the region to hold joint military drills to ensure "lasting security and promote unity in the Persian Gulf."

There is nothing new in this article. Iran has had such missiles for quite awhile. Which is why Iran's gulf neighbors have been beefing up their anti missile defenses. Iran can wage a limited war and do a lot of damage, especially economically with a temporary shut down of the gulf. But in the end it would lose its ports, ships, refineries, nuke sites, military industrial complexes, and bases. And the gulf will open back up.

Leaving Iran much poorer and with little gasoline

Maybe you are right about the end , but Iran can make Persian Gulf a big grave for American before the end.

Lets see when Iran does that...

Iran always makes a lot of noise, and does nothing ...

except of clever mischief.

While i agree with most of what you have posted on other threads.

Why would Iran even wage a limited war or conflicts knowing it has limited resources and outdated weaponry. Unless there is a proven intelligence at which the West failed to provide till date any credible intl.
This is something Iran would also have planned on in the end to make opposition lose its ports, ships, refineries, nuke sites, military industrial complexes, and bases.
