Pakistan buys about 14 to 16 billion USD of oil per year, and Saudia is the biggest supplier, and Imran Khan emphasis on buying oil from Russia at 30% less cost must have perturbed the Saudia in a big way.
Think that Saudia was taken into confidence before that regime change and imported hukumat, already Qatar interference is reported with Saif ur Rehman who was involved in the Qatar LNG deal with Pakistan at much higher cost, Imran Khan government also revised that deal with lower cost.
Otherwise ex PM Imran Khan had good personal relationship with MBS, but he did not tried to save him.
So it's all about the vested interests. Here Saudia also become neutral.
