Pentagon will deploy its new B-21 stealth bomber to Pacific

These platforms will be sensors and shooters linked by strong networks. Without the network they will be less than the sum of their parts.

The future center of gravity will be the networks (it is one aspect Gen. Deptula mentioned as defining a 6th generation platform)

If China can break these networks it would change the tide of battle. This is why investments in redundancies are being made for the US MilNets. SpaceX and its Statlink Constellation launches of 60 satellites into LEO would be one aspect of this. Making it hard to carry out effective ASAT and have it affect the battles.

In any hot war today, TBMs, and SRBMs will be flying towards enemy airfields within hours from start. The only thing that will play a role will be LO heavy bombers already in the air on patrol, and the portion of multirole/light bomber force whose carriers/airfields survive first retaliation.

Increasing first numerically is hard because of logistic trail, and provocative in peace time because you basically say to every nation whose borders you approach "I have few megatons in the air, 5 minutes from your border, ready to play the first strike strategy."

Increasing second numerically is less hard, but eventually you will be hard limited by runway/carrier capacity, and you will need to increase number of those expensive assets first before you can get more light bombers ready during a conflict. And you will have too many eggs in ones basket this way. If you keep a disproportionate amount of small craft on a single base, your losses from loosing it will be disproportionate too.

Then, the third option is to increase payload, and capacity of individual crafts that can be launched from tiny forward airfields, and don't require the extensive logistics train that strategic force need. This is where the needed medium bomber is.

You won’t be able to coordinate all of that or even mange the logistics without secure and robust networks. If the networks go down, operations will stop. That’s why the center of gravity will be more and more around the networks. Secondary to this will be how malware and anti-malware is used to infiltrate networks and disrupt operations, and sow chaos. So what SRBMs and LO bombers can do in hours to an enemy force, cyber forces will be able to do in minutes.

Honestly, for all practical military purposes,...
Yeah...Am sure you have a lot of experience in 'practical military' matters...

US think attack on China is like attacking iraq.
What give you the idea that we would think that way? Is it because of your own limited thinking in the first place? You think that we do not know the differences between Iraq, China, and Russia in military terms?

Why doesn't Taiwan declare independence then?
To keep your China in suspension...And so far...It is working.
