:: PDF @ DxB Air Show 2019 ::

I'm guess some of you must be anxiously awaiting for me to upload some pictures from Day 5 (Final Day) of the Air Show.

Rest assure, I will...tomorrow. Sorry guys, my Twins have been sick & I had to cut my day short there 'cause I had to rush back.

Anyways, though there were quite a few Questions asked earlier - there wasn't enough time for them to answer all.

Anyways, here are a few Questions answered...

A2. Yes

A5. No

A7. NO COMMENT

Finalized/Confirmed - NO LONGER BEING EVALUATED
Type being integrated - NO COMMENT.

Not just being considered, but already is featured.

Already answered the PL-15 (above) & Engine will remain the same Klimov RD-93, and not the Chinese Guizhou WS-13.

I didn't get around to ask about SOW (Stand Off Weapons) from PAC due time constraint

However, Rokestan did mention that it was very much possible based on the Weight Limitations on the Jet. But bottomline, it can be done on the JF-17 (tailor made) for PAF.

I believe @fatman17 had already answered your questions...accurately. That's pretty much PAC's response.

Now I too had a couple of Questions of my own...
Q1. Was PAF considering AVIC's TK-31 as HMD?
A1. No - atleast not for the time being.

View attachment 590846

Q2. ...and finally, I stressed again on the First Test Flight.
A2. Date is set, but unlike the 1st & 3rd Day - I didn't get a date this time around.

SPOILER:
Even though I was covering the rest of the Air Show as well, a couple of friends...who too were lingering around the PAC told me that some big meetings were going on these past few days between PAC/PAF & AVIC/Catic.

There was also a representative from COLT (COLT Aviation) having a meeting with some PAC personnel yesterday.

Its late. I'm tired. I'll get back to you all tomorrow, after Juma.
May i ask, what sort of illness are the baby and baba suffering? As you had mentioned it 2 days earlier as well. Take care buddy, get them to good doctors.

.
Even Gangadesh has made their own helos. We should have started this along with JF17.

That means, its on time and done as lastly quoted somewhere that PAC will finalize AESA till November, 2019. So one can assume that test flight delayed as the PAC wanted a complete product for the testing instead of validating/testing one equipment at time which could have become more lengthy process as well costly. I see that serial production will start earlier than usual practices. Furthermore, Chinese Officials have been quoted that Block-III frames are build simultaneously so the above theory seems possible & well intact.

Old specs

1.67 equal 2062 km per hour ferry range on internal fuel 1800 with one centerline 800 liters perhaps 2000 km with 2x 1100 liters and 1x 800 liters 3000 km ferry range per Chinese , pac in the past had 1880 nautical miles ferry range so that almost 3500 km not sure what specs for ferry range anyway combat range for a2a is between 1200-1350 with all external tanks and 1000 km with all external Tanks and 700 km with one centerline tank

We used to read TWR 1:1 but now, I am seeing written as 1:1.09 particularly or I can be wrong.

Take your time as the family is first. Secondly, when you are about to write down all the Qs & As, keep Thunder related As separate and that can be posted in JF-17 Block-III thread for information & discussion. Similarly for other subjects as well. Either you can post directly into respective threads or do let me know (any Mod) once you are done with details so the posts will be forwarded. There is another idea that you can post all the details in mix here on this thread and then post separated/filtered information for every subject into respective threads by yourself.

Regards,

I would like to suggest, rather directly post Thunder related info in Block 3 thread. But the drawback, fanboys, jump in, make the discussion all “we need x number, j31 j20 f22” bla bla bla.

This thread, is less watched by people due to uninterest in dxb air show so we can have a productive discussion here or the other DAS thread

Raw discussion can be kept here while we can update respective thread with specific & particular info. Furthermore, there is no stopping for the fanboys but I see that enthusiasts with interest and there are some having objection merely for the sake of it so the same will continue.

Well guys, i'm gonna finish off this Topic from my end with a Red Carpet moment for PDF @ the 2019 Dubai Air Show.

I think I did okay by covering as much as I could these past few days. You all need to understand that i'm not a young blood anymore. Walking around in a big Exhibition Hall & then outside for the Static Display is hard on your knees.

I am going to end this Topic with a conversation I had from a certain Stared Officer of the PAF. No Names.

First off, he answered as many questions in a Professional Manner. He choose 'No Comment', because he did not want to give out details which would end up on Social Media, then the Indian Media.

After our Q&A's were over - he told me that he knew of 'us'. As in PDF & that he had read quite some material. He knew about our rivalry with the Indian Members too.

By the way, @Stealth , kindly PM me (if you can). Your services are need.

Yeah, so this meeting took place at the exact same table where the two Officials from Lockheed Martin sat over an hour back & i'd say that the Meeting with the COLT rep must've lasted well over 45mins.

Once it was over, he walked away towards the Static Display/Chalets with 02 PAF Officers. Now PAF did not have its own Chalet this year - compared to having their own every past Air Show, but it led me to believe that they either they took him to see the Super Mushak - or to the AVIC Chalet where I assume PAF was using it as a special favor by AVIC throughout the Air Show.
