Passing Out Parade of 125th Long and 44th Integrated courses
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila, NI (M) said that Pakistan is not just faced with a standing foreign adversity but is also confronted with an amorphous and violent enemy which is bunt upon foisting it's own ideology of hate and bigotry upon us.
He said armed forces of Pakistan are expected to maintain unflinching vigil at all times and costs to counter such unprecedented challenges to country's national security. The Naval Chief said this atPakistan military Academy Kakul, Abbottabad where he was Chief guest on Passing Out Parade of 125th Long and 44th Integrated courses. The Chief Guest while congratulating the passing out cadets, said that nation pins very high expectations on them for which they would have to add new dimensions to the traditional concept of command and leadership. He said the doctrine and concept of warfare do also change for which cadets must keep themselves updated on all developments occurring in the world.
Appreciating the stunning and impressive drill and parade, Admiral Asif Sandila said it speaks volumes of high standards of the training at the academy. At the same time he extended appreciation to the academy's faculty members and the instructors for their commitment and guidance. Naval Chief extended special congratulations to the award winners cadets and their parents, and the allied cadets from Palestine and Sudan.
Earlier on his arrival at the parade ground, the Naval chief was received by the Commandant PMA Academy Major General Mazhar Jamil. He then reviewed the parade and awarded the prizes to distinct cadets.
It is pertinent to mention that total 581 cadets passed out today from the academy out which 491 Gentlemen Cadets (GC) completed 125th Long Course, Whereas 90 Cadets belonged to 44th integrated course. Battalion Senior Under Officer Hassan Ahmad Malik was awarded with Sword of Honour for being overall best cadet, whereas Academy Senior Undwr Officer Mohsin Mustafa received president's Gold Medal.
Chief of the Army Staff's Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Allied Under Officer Ahmad Muhammad Nimir Babo Nimir who belongs to Sudan. Commandant's Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Abdul Rahim. The impressive ceremony was attended by a large number of patents, foreign diplomats and officials from civil and military institutions.
