What I have understood from recent proceedings (and I might be wrong):
1 - PTI has to prove beneficial ownership of the companies prior to 2006 under Mariam Nawaz to completely ridicule Qatari letter and the trust deed.
2 - PTI has to assist court in proving Mariam as dependent on her father. They are trying hard but till now court is not satisfied with their argument.
3 - PMLN has to prove ownership of the companies prior to 2006 under Qatari prince to give one more lifeline to Qatari letter.
4 - PMLN has to provide all the evidences related to investment in Dubai factories, Qatari real state business in 70s and 80s. These will may include legal transfer of money from Pakistan, or loan grant letters from Qatar (if the money wasn't transferred and factories were setup after getting loans) to give an additional lifeline to Qatari letter.
5 - PMLN has to provide all the evidences related to legal transfer of companies to
Hussain Nawaz to give third lifeline to Qatari letter.
6 - PMLN has to provide all the evidences of setting up Jeddah factory, including legal money transfer transactions etc.
Now I have two questions:
1 - What if PTI is not able to prove beneficial ownership prior to 2006 under Mariam Nawaz and also couldn't prove Mariam dependency on her father? Will court forget about all other points and give clean chit to PM?
2 - What if both parties aren't able to prove the above points?
3 - What will happen if PTI proves, but PMLN is not able to prove anything.. Will court be able to gather courage to disqualify PM and his family?
Case is now extremely straight forward, but I see both parties not convincingly prove anything before the court and NS getting clean chit on the basis of lack of evidence.
Only Justice Azmat Saeed is saying that SC will accept Naeem Bukhari's argument if Shareef's aren't able to provide any document.
