In Pakistan nothing is simple; from murder of Liaquat Ali Khan, to dismemberment of country, to attack on Supreme Court, to Memogate, to Hudaiybia Paper Mill, to Hijacking Case, to Asghar Khan case, to Model Town Massacre, to Panamagate - and it continues and public is given different lollipops but never results!

It depends who it is against. If it was PPP, the argument would be based on precedence of 1990 case, where institutional failure as determined by SCP sent the PPP Govt home - but same institutional failures as recorded in Panamagate warrants second and third chance to prove innocence.

The onus of providing evidence of how money was transferred was on defendant and sole piece of defence was the handwritten Qatari letter - which was rejected by all five. Now what?

Basically; two of the 5 judges found that its enough evidence; three are basically saying to "failed institutions as per their own comments" to find a way out for their Godfather - and keep trying till you find a way so we can give the public another lollipop of delivered justice"

Too many glorious examples in chequered history of monumental judgements of SCP has miserably failed the nation - it's not an exception but a norm since last 7 decades.

I completely agree with your sentiment. The SC for all its high and mighty rhetoric has always failed to deliver a key verdict whenever needed, they have not one, single instance to show when the nation needed them to exhibit resolve and they delivered on these expectations.
Even in the Panama Case, the country was looking to the SC to give a conclusive verdict, whether they chose to prosecute or exonerate Nawaz Sharif was a separate question, the nation was looking towards them to reach a decision.
However, the SC in typical fashion simply pulled itself out of the mess and pushed it onto some poor bureaucrats to suffer. The men chosen by the JIT have all been extensively vetted and command the most enviable reputation in their respective departments, however that does not mean that the system will move to their whims, they can try to move mountains but the fact remains that if the SC, the nation's most powerful locus of power with the constitutional authority to send the government packing could not reach a conclusive verdict, how do they expect these poor guys to do so?
I feel that the SC is using the JIT as a scapegoat, the least the SC could have done was to send the PM on compulsory leave for the duration of the investigation to ensure that other departments that the JIT needs to question would be able to function more freely.
As it stands, I feel that the SC has set up this entire thing to hide their own follies from the public.

And lets tell them that they have full authority to demand information from any department without giving due thought to the fact that most of these departments are heavily politicized and their staff see the continuation of their service as being tied in with the continuation of this government.
Jab NAB main bhartiyan saari political basis par hongi toh woh khud apnay pair par kulhari kiyon maarain gay NS kay khilaf data day kar? The JIT's steps so far have all been very positive and it can be seen that there is a genuine effort being put in but no matter how hard they work, I am afraid that the SC has set up the entire thing to ensure that they can't accomplish anything. Khud jis case par unhon nay 1.5 saal lagaya hai aur faisla nahi diya, wohi JIT koh 2 maheenay main nimtanay ka keh rahay hain.

I think judges ke removal ke liye jab hoti hain..tab tu in camera hoti hain shayad...aur hona bhi chahye..

Lekin ye chairman NAB ke against ...esp ye tu PTI le kar gayi hai...tu i think ye open hearing honi chahye... Hain na? Open hearing main bhtt maza aayega .. Mera khyal hai ke us ne shah se ziada shah ke wafadar bannay ke chakkar main woh wala bayan SC main diya tha ke appeal nahi karein ge, LHC walay case ke against.. And klasra told ke...yeh us ne Ishaq dar ke kehnay par bayan diya tha.. Wohi shah se ziada shah ke wafadar bannay ke chakkar main....ab khud phansay ga.....ye tu pakka gaya InshAllah..SJC se...
