@Strike! And this is the complete post where I stated that we need to go beyond electoral laws of 2013 and make them stricter to ensure only eligible candidates participate in the first place...

A lot needs to be done to make sure of a fair and free elections.

How can we believe the claim after Nomination acceptance of so many ineligible candidates in by-elections and Senate, the strike down and omissions of 19 criteria instead of making the nomination law strictest.

Even if this court strikes down the law with 19 omissions and reinstates the earlier law...What good it shall be when even that earlier relatively strict law was flawed and weak from its origins.

Sorry CJP, the time to have a strict elections law in place is fast receding without its alternative law anywhere to be seen or debated.

Without a stricter law on nominations and election reforms, mere reinstating the old law and having oversees Pakistanis vote shall not make sure of a free and fair elections.

May be if the court took the matter seriously and suomoto of the matter earlier of the election law at the time of changes by parliament in the name of so called election reforms.

I'm sorry but Now the SCP will be forced to go with the flow of events and do some superficial amendments at best.

Just looking at its current restrained and apologetic nature against PMLN and tendency to give explanations of true intentions instead of strong verdicts shows that it does not seem to be in a position to exert itself at the moment.

At least, SCP is not in a position to impose itself any further with any force when faced with the concept of standing against the whole political system (when it couldn't manage to do so against a single party) and delay elections for some meaningful election reforms to ensure an actual fair and free election. That's why the Hikmat part is such a double edged sword.

Although it's seeds may yet be planted if SCP rises to its actual potential, elections; fair and free are still a distant dream for years to come to any fruition...

They dont believe in party or what they stand for rather who the candidate is and IK is fielding now heavy weights who can win seats. This wasnt the case in 2013 when he brought in new candidates. So IK is staying in the system and use it to his advantage which if i may add is a dangerous preposition.

I think at the moment winning the elections is the priority. Everything else comes secondary. Though i dont understand what will such a win give when you will have to deviate from everything you once stood for?

Election commission is compromised, ROs will not refuse nomination papers of any influential persons like 2013, so even if they implement the old papers it would be useless. Getting into power and changing the system is rightly the first priority.

Now SCP will start appeasement of Shahbaz Sharif too.

This Judiciary is caught in a game of what people might think or how they are projected.

This same syndrome was demonstrated by establishment after Dawn leaks too. Then subsequently, they learned how to handle the situation without being intimidated by Sharifs antics.

This Judiciary is still none the wiser about Sharifs antics and is going about in circles, confused about holding them accountable or appeasement of their croc tiers.

Precisely, but looks like as soon as PMLN activated Ayaz Sadiq, everyone falls in line with PMLN narrative that elections must not be delayed...elections are not going to be delayed by using old nominations forms:

Ayaz Sadiq Lies about Nomination Form Changes and LHC decision to change it.

The lies exposed:

1. LHC had repeatedly asked Federal Government to respond about changes made in Nomination Forms since last six months to no avail.
2. Why didn't the Parliament or federal Government care to respond to or approach the LHC to address its concerns about Nomination Form changes?
3. ECP had vehemently and repeatedly raised its concerns in front of parliament against omission of key clauses in the name of simplification of nomination forms to no avail.
4. Election schedule is not in danger due to reverting to old nomination forms at all like Ayaz Sadiq is lying through his teeth.
5. There is no question of delay in election date due to LHC verdict as ECP already has a considerable stock of the old nomination forms (without omissions) in printed form. Required 25,000-30,000 New forms can also be printed within a day without creating any delays in election date.
6. No question of any malaise in LHC decision as it is the right of Voters to know the detailed information about candidates and to hold them accountable according to the law.

Shame on Ayaz Sadiq and the recently concluded Parliament for trying to deceive the same voters they claim to fight for as "VOTE KO IZZAT DO" !!!
