Respected members @El Sidd and @Arsalan Sirs, my two cents on the course of change.

Real change comes from the top down, the ones which have the legitimate executive power to make a difference at macro level must hold moral high ground themselves to strictly and forcefully make the people observe the law simply by its strict enforcement starting at the top.

On the other hand, seemingly realistic and practical looking change is easily advisable and seems doable at individual level but it's just a mirage and a hollow dream that inadvertently supports the corrupt at the top since the individuals in society don't have the power to enforce the law but find it easier to break it or side step it according to their influence or capacity since the sense has slowly crept into the society and considered a norm.

Let's look at it from the POV of a well known stooge of the corrupt.
Our very own Chairman PEMRA, AbsarA, is of the opinion that change should be gradual and start at individual level so that the society changes first and then it's leadership shall follow suit, wink wink, all in good time (meaning let nooras be)...nothing can be farther from the truth...this is the biggest lie successfully engrained in general public as it puts the blame of rulers actions as a reflection of individuals and general public, since the general public is so then why blame the leadership is the excuse.

The key to understanding is the reason why do the same politicians who break the laws here, turn into law abiding citizens as soon as they set foot on foreign land. Because in western countries LAW IS ENFORCED from top to bottom on every citizen and everyone knows it that the higher the office, stricter it's scrutiny and accountability whereas the general public must not break the law as every individual shall be "forcefully" held accountable for actions and so following the law becomes a way of life BECAUSE IT IS ENFORCED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.

Since he is siding with declared corrupts, his opinions, fatawa etc have no value at all.

Our aslaaf said that if you find one and only one habit in a person, which is not according to Quran and Sunnah, don't make that man your guide in you religious affairs.

One habit..... And here fazlu is openly supporting corrupt people who have been declared liars by a competent court..

Another example, he still suspects Jemima a Jew despite her acceptance of Islam. This is really a major sin, i.e considering a Muslim a Jew.

So people should just leave him. If they don't, they will also be held responsible.
