That's one constitutional way to go about it. Governments have been toppled before by SC.

All these steps have a seriously bad consequences - internally and externally.

INTERNALLY - after the take over army always finds itself in a quagmire, and that 'short period' becomes endless (Zia sahib promised three months and Pervez Musharaf three years). It is very difficult, in fact impossible to clear the mess when any non-constitutional force is at the helm of the affairs. International governments do not recognize your legitimacy and do not co-operate at all. Any flow of information from international sources will suddenly come to a permanent halt. The country slips into turmoil and sectarian, linguistic, provincial divide overtakes the national unity.

INTERNATIONALLY - the first and the foremost difficulty is to convince the world about the legitimacy and keep the "business" open (remember the days of Pervez Musharraf in the beginning). Then, your representation in the international bodies (UN etc.) becomes weak. Other countries do not hand back your criminals because of fear of persecution (law in Europe and US protects these culprits in the name of human rights).

I think the situation in Pakistan is so bad that even a "judicial martial law / take over" is not possible.

Our best hope is to stick to the constitution.

Nawaz Sharifs return was managed by Shahbaz and Ramday who have been busy meeting all sorts of people day and night. Shameful really and revealing of the power chota sharif wields in Punjab.

SS is the good cop who keeps extending the reign of NS and family. SS and his likes is the poison who has always been considered as the cure by our establishment. This is the well known point that is completely ignored by all those analysing the political influence of Nawaz.

Since 90s our establishment is in love with SS. Even Mushy wanted SS to stay and work with him. This is the ailment that has haunted our politics. Make no mistake that SS is just as corrupt as NS for they complement each other. Sasti roti, laptop, metros, nandipur and shifting factories to south Punjab are just scratching the surface of SS corruption in collusion with NS.

What they keep ignoring is that they are all the same. Time and again it has become evident that SS is as big of a culprit as NS as he supports his reign simply because he is his elder brother, it is engrained in his mind since childhood; us against the world.
