Pakistan’s soil will not be used against any country: DG ISPR

Pakistan has had very long and historical relations with Iran going back to the Achmanaed era about 500 BC! A country can ‘Like’ or ‘Lump’ her neighboring countries but cannot change them and regrettably Iran in our neighbor. Pakistan, therefore, cannot and should not let the USA or Saudi Arabia use its land for any military action against Iran.

However, while the ‘Neutral’ policy is the most prudent choice; the ground reality dictates otherwise. In case of hostilities breaking out; unable to target the USA directly and Israel being geographically too far; Iran is most likely to respond by attacking Saudi & UAE targets. In such a scenario, Pakistan would be obliged to provide some kind of military assistance to KSA; probably in the form of pilots and /or anti-aircraft support.

Hence realistically speaking, it would be next to impossible for Pakistan to remain completely neutral. India, on the other hand, would remain aloof and completely ‘Neutral’ thus coming out smelling like roses when the conflict ends.
Pakistan would be sucked into war citing Shias and Pakistanis in gulf.
