I enjoy reading Pakistan's nuclear capables and progress, within five to ten years, it will double the nuclear arsenal goals! :yahoo:

It is really huge number on the way to 500 nukes possible!

March 8 2012
Its nuclear arsenal has grown substantially in recent years, from 60 to 80 nuclear weapons in 2008. Government and other sources report that the nation aims to double the size of its nuclear arsenal in the next 5 to 10 years, with the eventual goal of 250 to 350 nuclear weapons of varying yields.

Pakistan’s military is able to launch nuclear weapons from land and air. It possesses an estimated 50 Hatf-3 nuclear-capable ballistic missiles, with a short range of 400 km. A further 10 Hatf-4 missiles are operational, with a range of 450 km, and 25 Hatf-5 missiles, with an estimated range of 1,200 km. The primary aircraft for delivering nuclear weapons is the US-manufactured F-16. Pakistan is rapidly improving its ballistic missile technology. The Shaheen-II missile is under development.

If successful, it will have an operational range of 2,000 km. Several nuclear-capable cruise missiles are also nearing design completion. The Hatf-7 and Hatf-8 are short-range cruise missiles capable of penetrating air-defence systems.

Pakistan is also improving its nuclear infrastructure to allow for an increase in its production of weapons-grade plutonium and highly enriched uranium. New plutonium reactors are under construction, along with a reprocessing plant. According to some analysts, these investments will help Pakistan replace its heavy uranium-based nuclear weapons with lighter and more advanced plutonium-based ones, giving its ballistic missiles a greater range.

This part interests me more than 250-350 number.

this part is better and more appreciated 350 should be the limit after that i dont think we need anymore.

having such a large dependency on nukes also limits your options.

nukes are not like arty shells which could be just chucked across the border. :)

.
Pure speculation: Maybe the nukes are foreign subsidized. There is, after all, a certain country with 400 nukes.

This is quite immature according to me. Pakistan would be better off if they have 100 nukes for a capable deterrence, the rest of the money should be spent on conventional weaponry, like building a destroyer, or buying an AESA for JF-17. You get my point.

.
The more you invest in your nukes means the less confident you are on your conventional capabilities.

Developereo, why can't I PM you, I have some information to say for a Pakistan, as a farewell.

What they gonna do with these many nukes??? This is totally insane.

First of all it is an exaggerated value second we are making sure in any nuclear conflict we must have enough nuclear stockpile to completely vanished our enemies before vanishing self but i hope this time will never come.

Hey, it's just a light joke from my part, nothing to get oversensitive about; if it was up to me then non would have nukes... it was me intentionally playing in your hands ;)

Anyway, on a serious note, you cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war. The very prevention of war requires more faith, courage and resolution than are needed to prepare for war. We must all do our share, that we may be equal to the task of peace. - Albert einstein

How can we be so against something yet aggressively prepare for it?

Fake news and propaganda against Pak. World should eliminate ugly nuclear weapons from all parts of the world.
Only Russia and U.S.A have thousands of nuclear bombs which is great threat for the whole world.
World should not allow any new country to get atomic power.
Pak and India have improved relation from the 1990s. No chance of war.
Here is great future in south Asia and relation between all countries are improving including India V China

Quite true. When they make it, its to secure the world and when anyone else does, the world is becoming insecure? They never mention 22 nuclear thefts form Russian nuke arsenal and 11 from US arsenal but every week or two, they publish the same old story with new wordings. Sheer hypocrisy!

Pakistan has very mature nuclear warhead technology, hence the quantity can go up because of the better quality.

But anything over 5000 warheads would be too much, the maintenance fee is simply too costy.

US and Russia have too much of their warheads turned into the decayed dirty bombs because the lack of maintenance.

I think Pakistan needs around 400-500 nukes to defend its sovereignty in the world.
