This is often the most necessary qualification for political leaders in many parts of the world. Dynasty politics is a reality even in developed world. In South Asia especially, the relatively young democracies do not have parties and people who can properly align with ideas across political spectrum. This means that personality or dynastic parties are inevitable. Look at the crowd that the progeny of Sharif is able to pull. Can anyone in PTI besides Imran do the same?

Leader of a corrupt dynasty is exactly what the Americans are looking for. Easily bought and bargained. An added bonus is that Americans encourage secterian and ethnic politics in Pakistan.
