Pakistan’s first optical remote sensing satellite to be launched in 2018

@Oscar congrats, a good step in the right direction,

OT : although I am quite sure that this timesofislamabad is not a legit news outlet, more or less one of our prominent members here seems to be the brainchild behind this and a slew of some other syndicated web news services.
The news website is from Pakistan and reporting about Pakistan then why you are curry f@rting here?

Could it be dual use since it is optical ?

What does it do.
Shows gandi movies after 2am..

We have launch sites at Sonmiani range and other one at Jehlum range, and SLV is under development for the site as well. Dont know about the progress on that
Since early 2000s.... seems its frozen in time.

If it is not launched from Pakistani soil then no use. period.

It said China in this article:
https://spacewatchme.com/2017/10/pakistan-launch-first-earth-observation-satellite-2018/

"PRSS-1 has been built by Chinese satellite manufacturer China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), and China Great Wall Industries Corporation will launch the satellite in March 2018. The PRSS-1 satellite is similar to the one built for Venezuela by CAST, called the Antonio José de Sucre, launched on October 8, 2017, from the Jiuquan launch site in China."
