Unless you can prove a source, that Pakistan's economy is totally dependent on USA's aids, which the aids probably won't even amount to how much we spend on the imports a year, then please do not make such ridiculous statements.
Buddy i recently read in another thread in this very forum that the government is forcing the central bank to print money at a certain rate as it does not have enough funds for it's day to day operations.I am not saying that the entire economy is dependent on US aid but a large chunk of it certainly is .US aid plays a major role in Pakistan

.
Pakistan should not stand up to us. it receives vast aid from USA and doing something idiotic like standing up to us will have disastrous effect on economy of Pakistan.

.
I am eagerly waiting for China to take over the AID part of US in Pakistan . I really wish to see how much politically China can do for Pakistan and stop US influence in the region . I think politically China will not do much as it can do .

True, but this is due to the money spend on the war of terror, building infrastructure, which the USA is suppose to repay for the role in the war of terror. This means USA actually have a responsibility here. What USA aid given is barely enough for the entire time we had spend on this war which ranged from 40 billion USD to almost 60 billion USD depending on the various sources. And still our economy is kept afloat due to increasing our exports, higher influx of remittances, and by trying to encourage business opportunities to those affected by recent floods. The economy sanctions in 90s, have shown us that even in difficult times, we manage to sustain our economy

Not a time for Pakistan to "revolt" against USA.
Try to bring inner peace in Pakistan.....................the day it comes ,USA will see a Pakistan as equal

First of all Standing up, Revolt etc etc are stupid words used by people for provocation . It is advisable these should be avoided. Its simply a legal issues and nobody other than Pakistanis have the right to speak about what should be done.

The case is in Our COURT and its a legal issue so there is NO question of standing against, standing up or revolting against US.

Pak-US relations are NOT one sided these are always mutual and both countries have stake in it its another matter that some idiots outside Pak-US relations dont understand it or dont have the brain to understand it

Case: India
Post 1991 crisis , even with a weak PM, Indian Politicians / Bureacrats di something that undermined their importance / hold over country/ i.e. liebralised the economy and set Indian Enterprenuers Free. This decision was a forced decision on them...but the benefits are for all to see...

Will Pakaitani Army , Zamimdars, Politicians do the same things..i.e. tax all, land reforms, build democratic institution , de-escalate with India, put hot issues like Kashmir on back burner....

This is the main question....

India has major issues with China but Indian Politicians has never made it a vote bank politics....Indians have put the issue to be settled in future...

I assess that Pakistan will remain in the grips of USA for now and China later....it will never breath free.

Davis row: 'God is giving us chance to get rid of US slavery'

Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said the killing of two Pakistani men by US official Raymond Davis was a "God-given opportunity" for the country to get rid of the slavery imposed on it by the US.
Addressing a Friday prayer congregation at a mosque at the JuD's headquarters in Chauburji in Lahore, Saeed said: "God has given us an opportunity to get rid of America's slavery. We should be united in the face of American imperialism."

Saeed, also the founder of the banned Lashker-e-Toiba that was blamed for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, warned the Pakistan government not to hand over Davis to the US.

"If the government yields to American pressure, it will face the wrath of the people," he said.

The Pakistani people were "very emotional" over the issue and will not allow the government to "sell the blood of its citizens", he said.

The JuD also organised a rally in Lahore to press the government not to release Davis.A large number of JuD activists and traders joined the rally held at Hall Road and vent their anger against the US and the Pakistani governments.

Davis was arrested after he shot and killed two alleged robbers in Lahore on January 27.

He claimed he had acted in self-defence as the two men were trying to rob him.

However, Lahore police chief Aslam Tareen today said Davis had been booked for murder.

Davis was sent to jail after a court remanded him to judicial custody for a fortnight this morning.

The JuD has been at the forefront of protests organised in several parts of Pakistan to pressure the government not to release Davis.

Buddy I guess you are deviating a bit from the topic here.In order to stand up to the US it is not sufficient to just "sustain" the economy but also to strengthen it.Today India is a 1.4 trillion dollar economy due to the changes that were adopted in 1991.Prior to that our economy was pathetic but still we had sustained a socialist type of functioning . Also I am getting a feeling that you are one of those who think that Pakistan is fighting the war for the US.Elements like the TTP etc. have killed a lot more Pakistanis than US citizens.Pakistan is fighting these radical elements for it's own survival. In that case i feel it would be incorrect to ask the US 40-60 billion dollars.Do you really think that the US will pay Pakistan that much?
