ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's defence exports have crossed $200 million, Major General Syed Absar Hussain, Director General, Defence Export Promotion Organisation has said.

A new Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) 'Saad' will be unveiled at IDEAS 2006 defence exhibition being planned to be held in Karachi on November 20, Hussain said.

Pakistan had launched Saad equipped with Battle Field Management Systems, including computerised command, control, communication, intelligence and information systems in July 2003.

Hussain did not give details if the Saad to be displayed at IDEAS 2006 was an upgraded version.

The improved versions of the Al-Khalid battle tank and Super Mushak single piston engine aircraft will also be put on display besides various other upgrades, the Dawn quoted him as saying.

He said, the Al-Khalid tank has a night-fighting capability as well as the ability to automatically track targets. Super Mushak can be used as a trainee aircraft as well as for other aerial and defence operations.

Out of 107 delegates from 95 countries to be invited for the exhibition, 75 delegates from 70 countries have so far confirmed their participation, the General said.

This is one area we can we can advance real fast. There's a wide range of defence products, most being produced indegeniosly so there's no export restrictions.
I read that we're targetting the $1 billion mark in 2010.
Congrats to our scientists and engeneers! :flag:

.
U bet Neo Brother! We shall inshallah export JF-17, AZAR MRL and Al Khalid 2's to Africa and Sri Lanka.

.
Don't forget the short range missiles and submarines. ;)

If I remember correctly, Pakistan already exports Midget Subs and is planning on exporting Agosta 90Bs now.

.
Sid Brother. i have a question. Can Pakitan really export Agosta's as it
only has license to manufacture them. Aren't they originally French and
dont we require their permission.

Why wuld the french allow you to export agostas?Whats in it for them?

. . .
free money without any effort. If we find customers and they cannot then, definitely they'd be happy about it.

.
Neo,
Which Sub are you planning to export.

We have full export license for Agosta and the type 90B was offered to Malaysia and Saudi Arab.
Malaysia later opted for Scorpene. Indonesia is interested in Agosta.
French will get royalty and there share of spareparts.
