A lot of stuff going on..

Clearly major topic of discussion was the Afghan peace process, why else would COAS and DG ISI meet their Afghan "counterparts" in a neutral setting?

Clearly we are there to buy their second hand Cobras and to sell them JF-17. What else could it be!

Exactly as i mentioned it in the above post.....one day he is in Pakistan meeting Pakistani COAS and next day accompanies him to a meeting in Bahrain....not quite normal to say the least.

You are indeed right, this is very strange, a foreign CDS going on a trip to a third country with our COAS.

Mind you Nick Carter before he become UK Chief of Defence visited Pakistan many times as COAS and both Sharif and Bajwa have been his guests in London often

There is backroom discussion of a middle east defence pact/alliance between Israel- KSA-UAE-Bahrain. At the same time Raheel Shariff is in charge of the Islamic military force in KSA.

Also factor in the Afghan peace deal is gaining momentum and the US has a proposed a Unity Govt giving the Taliban a huge say and direct influence, then all these issues were discussed.

In Hindsight it appears Afghanistan under the Taliban leadership has given some kind of assurance of joining the pro Israel/GCC defence pact as well as possibly Pakistan.

Keep in mind the GCC has gone out of its way in influencing the west in letting the taliban have a say in afghanistan. There is no way they would have done this without getting some kind of benefit from the Taliban and atm their main interests are building a coalition against Iran now the Trump is gone.

A Israeli-GCC-Pakistan-Afghanistan defence alliance against the menace Iran would be a huge game changer. If Turkey comes onboard which is also likely then it will be huge.

Dude, that is some leap. Where did Israel come from? This seems to be focused on Afghanistan only.

And the presence of General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter - Chief of Defence Staff UK Army at the meeting . !!!

I think the distinguished member is being sarcastic. Regardless, yes the UK CDS being there is intriguing but you get the idea what was discussed based on seeing who else was there:

Dr Christian Turner - British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Dr Hamdullah Mohib -National Security Advisor Afghanistan, General Mohammed Yasin Zia - Chief of Afghan National Army (ANA), Mr Ahmad Zia Saraj - Director National Directorate of Security (NDS) Afghanistan and Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid - Director General Inter Services Intelligence were present during the meeting.

In a few words - NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
