KUWAIT CITY, April 6: The Ministry of Interior will in part lift the visa ban on Pakistani citizens, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added the ministry will start issuing family and commercial visas to Pakistanis before opening the door for all types of visas.

With this decision the ban on five other nationalities stays in place - Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

However, the sources added the decision to lift the ban on these nationalities will depend on technical and security studies and in accordance with the ‘quota’ for the population.

This was bound to happen, zardari really messed it up for us all big time. And there was no other reason but him for the ban to be implemented at the first place. It took some time, but looks like it will be taken care of now. Everything will be crystal clear on the 1st of May inshAllah.

It was a about mistreatment of the poor workers by some companies. Which resulted in the incident. And believe it or not, this was also the reason for a major overhaul of labor laws in Kuwait.

I'm thinking Syria and Iran

If the decision is based on the GCC needing us, then I'd prefer to have the ban instead of getting involved in the M.East again. Otherwise they are simply rectifying their own ridiculous ban.
