Pakistani taxi driver crying

and he's no patriotic. Tears doesn't define the level of patriotism. Just because someone is so sad and crying, goes to youtube to make a video, he doesn't become patriotic.

Should come back to Pakistan and work for the country. The tax money will help gov't too.
Pretty stupid arguement ... He runs a small cab company ... And sends money home (expats send 16+ billion dollars annually)... And this video was aired on tv .. The guy felt sad looking at the shit hitting the fan in his country.. How Canadian ministered travelled in his taxis.. While our own ministers were using limos n expensive suites in hotels.. Despite being from a poor country..

You're the one who is misinformed

A chauffeur or parking area costs hell amount of money. For example a chauffer can cost over $50k year. And an hour parking ticket in downtown costs about $5!

And now compare to Pakistan. A chauffer costs $150 a month. Downtown parking isn't an issue and when it is, it's like a dollar for however long you want.

Labour is cheap in Pakistan. You can make $100,000 a year in Canada and then give half to chauffer? Whereas in Pakistan you make 100k a year and give some $2k a year to the driver.

So who's misinformed? And again, like I said, just because someone is shedding tears on camera doesn't become patriotic. If he was patriotic as it seems like, he would be in Pakistan.

Lastly, it's true that outside people help Pakistan a lot through sending money. But what you forget is that many of these people hold high jobs, doctors lawyers engineers and whatnot. I bet Pakistan would prefer to have these people at home than be outside sending money. Money doesn't replace knowledge.

I have a question for you, based on your signature: why do you think Imran Khan is anti-judiciary? He has certainly not physically attacked the Supreme Court, the way we see Nawaz and his fellows doing in a well-known video. He actively supported the Lawyers' Movement for the restoration of the judiciary.
He definitely has a low opinion of some individual members of the judiciary, and of some problems in the institution (such as corruption), thinking that it therefore needs reform; but it is his right, as a citizen of a democracy, to have and express such an opinion.
I am not seeing the problem here, if this is all it means to be anti-judiciary.
Oh you just wait. When current chief justice retires, Imran will say he's involved in dhandli as well, just as he called the last 2 retired judges. Furthermore, Imran didn't have guts to say on Kayani or chief justice face about their involvement in dhandli. After they retire, he's accusing them all.

Nawaz built motorway, but it doesn't mean he's an awesome leader. Nawaz was also involved in judicial movement. Just because one person does something good doesn't mean he's 100% good. And just because someone does good for judiciary doesn't mean in return he gets justice under the table and how he likes it. Just because you work for your boss in good manners and once he's promoted, you shouldn't expect that he lets you fill his seat.

I forgot to add, India is plagued with toilet issue, yet their prime minister travels in 10 times bigger aircraft, boeing 747. Also the Canadian ministers here in Canada make $200,000 and higher office can make up to $700,000. That's a lot of money considering an average income in Canada is 50k and average low income (majority) is 25-30k.

I guess guy did little over acting.

Should come back to Pakistan and work for the country. The tax money will help gov't too.

I don't know about Pakistan, but yeah it will surely contribute to luxurious life of p!gs and their offspring.

Actually blue collar guys contribute more in remittance than white collar.

Because there are far more blue collars. Mostly in middle east.

Should look up how much Canada contributes.

But yeah, if you think country is bad, cool. But if you come on camera and cry about it, then you really should go to Pakistan and help it out. There are numerous ways.

Remittances from expats are life line for Pakistan - If for one year expats don't send it, Pakistan will default. So, guy is already contributing to Pakistan. Don't try to look everything wearing political glasses.

Well there are many pakistanis who are not patriotic, will never return to Pakistan, or visit it, and will continue to send remittance.

Patriotism has different level. This guy isn't as patriotic as the ones living in Pakistan and making a difference, despite odds. Like Edhi.

Also we can never tell how patriotic we're. It's hard to go against inner feelings.

1. You are again factually wrong, most of those who have permanently settled overseas and have no plan to return ever normally don't send remittance as they invest their savings where they are living.

2. You can't compare a common fold with person like Edhi - Edhi have dedicated his life for humanity not nationalism.

3. Your contradicting yourself, on one hand you are saying that "Also we can never tell how patriotic we're. It's hard to go against inner feelings." on other hand you are giving verdict on that guys Patriotism.

Everyone is patriotic unless you can prove his/her anti-national deeds.

oh God, this wishlivepak guy somehow never ceases to amuse me. boggles my mind really, how far he goes each and every time to defend the status quo and defend his badshah salamat. do you hate pakistan bro? or perhaps you're also one of the ethno-centric punjabis who just don't care how shit hits the fan in the rest of pakistan because your glorious punjab is getting it all? also @OP, video isn't accessible pls post again.

1) I'm the one who's living in west, not you. I know people here. They've million dollar houses here, their graves are here. But they still send remitance.

2) Edhi was an example. I used him to show black and white picture.

3) No, you don't know how to read. I said we can't go against inner feelings. I don't know how patriotic I am, but I can verdict on him.

Everyone can be patriotic, but it has its own levels. One who wouldn't leave his country and die there, one who'd leave but return to die there, one who'd join army to give his blood, one who'd say the state is against him and seeks refuge, but still likes Pakistan.

This guy isn't as patriotic as some of you think he is. I wouldn't doubt that you're more patriotic than him, even though you haven't uploaded a video of yourself sobbing about state of Pakistan. But you come to Pakistani forum and express your opinion about Pakistan, as you care for it, without sobbing video.

respect to canadians.

anyways, canada is a very secure place. high profile people can easily mingle. they don't have any security threats.
In our region, because of terrorism or some other reason, it is not safe to take local taxis. Political instability can create havoc for a country.

.
Another example of how emotion clouds reasoning. This guy living in a safe country with concept of minimum wage is getting emotional because Ministers took his taxi from airport..? Does he not know if ministers try that in "his" country, how many will live to see another day..? Security of elected members of Parliament should be taken off..?
He does "dua" for all the MPAs/MNAs of Pakistan . Does that dua include PTI MNAs/MPAs as well..?
He wants Pakistani Army to kill all MPAs/MNAs in mid sea while living in a democratic Canada. Misplaced patriotism..?
