Pakistani politicians blast Saudi-led coalition amid row with Qatar

Fact # 1: Qatar is one of the UK-USA allies in the region.
They ,Qataris, have some dependence on western powers as do Pakistan but have the least independence from them. Like their 20 billion dollar investment in Turkey. Man! Trump wants everything in GCC, listen to this orange swine :
He wants it's puppet regime in KSA to bully or occupy Qatar, Yemen and other GCC countries and kill their least independence from USA. Two persons in GCC are responsible of it, Bin Salman and Bin Zayed, these guys want USA's support for their illegal kingdom. Remeber 0.5 trillion dollar bribery to Trump.
Fact # 2: Saudi-Qatar dispute has nothing to do with issues of Palestine and Hamas. It has more to do with shoddy connections of Qatari elite and its patronage of Arab Spring movement.

I am not saying that Qatar was innocent but current situation forces us to back them against Israeli plan. If Qatar gives up, Israel will have a good excuse to invade Gaza. Have my word and wait for it
As far as dealings with US are concerned, it is OK for your leaders to strike a deal with US for any matter but same is wrong for Saudi Arabia? Hypocrisy much?
We have retards in our country, i have never denied it.
I must warn you that this narrative-building will have tragic consequences for the Islamic bloc at large. Check post # 134 in this thread: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/qata...mecca-grand-mosque.501053/page-9#post-9567737
You are misinformed my friend. In that peaceful protest, Iranian, Arabic and other Haajis from many ethnicities shouted "DOWN WITH USA" "DOWN WITH ISRAEL", Saudi bastards opened fire at them and killed many of them because of that slogan.
Who has put it in your mind that they were attacking Ka'aba? Don't go full retard, at least watch the video before believing bullshits of lunatics of Saudi bastards.
They killed Haajis because they were shouting the main slogan of Islamic Ummah.

Does Haj have any place for politics.. that was very displaced from that crowd.. the only thing allowed in Haj is DOWN with Ibliss or Shaitan.. the two sacro-saint places of Islam Makkah and Madina are not to be places for politics, they are strictly religious.. those crouds can shout what they wanted during the whole year and no one was opposed to them in peaceful demonstrations in Iran or in the Arab and Islamic world.. but Kaaba, Makkah and Madina are Muslim red lines, not only Saudi ones..

Is that why Qatar is the host to largest military presence of US in the Middle East?

You are rooting for one US ally over the other, my friend. You need to do your homework.

Pakistan isn't a host to American military presence in the region.

Of-course you will blindly support Qatar in these matters because you don't know the whole picture.

COFFINS AS WEAPONS CACHE: SEIZURE OF THE GRAND MOSQUE

At 5 that morning, the final day of the hajj, Sheikh Mohammed al-Subayil, imam of the Grand Mosque, was preparing to address 50,000 worshipers through a microphone inside the mosque. Among the worshipers, what looked like mourners bearing coffins on their shoulders and wearing headbands made their way through the crowd. It wasn't an unusual sight.

Mourners often brought their dead for a blessing at the mosque. But they had no mourning in mind.

Sheikh Mohammed al-Subayil was shoved aside by men who took machine guns from beneath their robes, fired them in the air and at a few policemen nearby, and yelled to the crowd that “The Mahdi has appeared!” Mahdi is the Arabic word for messiah.

The "mourners" set their coffins down, opened them up, and produced an arsenal of weaponry that they then brandished and fired at the crowd. That was only part of their arsenal.

AN ATTEMPTED OVERTHROW BY A WOULD-BE MESSIAH

The attack was led by Juhayman al-Oteibi, a fundamentalist preacher and former member of the Saudi National Guard, and Mohammed Abdullah al-Qahtani, who claimed to be the Mahdi. The two men openly called for a revolt against the Saudi monarchy, accusing it of having betrayed Islamic principles and sold out to western countries. The militants, who numbered close to 500, were well armed, their weapons, in addition to their coffin arsenal, having been stashed gradually in the days and weeks before the assault in small chambers beneath the Mosque. They were prepared to lay siege to the mosque for a long time.

The siege lasted two weeks, though it did not end before a bloodbath in underground chambers where militants had retreated with hundreds of hostages--and bloody repercussions in Pakistan and Iran. In Pakistan, a mob of Islamist students enraged by a false report that the United States was behind the mosque seizure, attacked the American embassy in Islamabad and killed two Americans.

Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini called the attack and the murders a "great joy," and also blamed the seizure on the United States and Israel.

In Mecca, Saudi authorities considered attacking the hold-outs without regard for the hostages. Instead, Prince Turki, the youngest son of King Faisal and the man in charge of reclaiming the Grand Mosque, summoned a French secret service officer, Count Claude Alexandre de Marenches, who recommended that the hold-outs be gassed unconscious.

Bro, we have many liberal Iranians who would agree with you.
But i don't, first of all they were not inside Beit ul Haram country yard, to get accused of polluting haj.
And why not? Palestine is the heart of Muslim world which is wounded by Usrael.
"DEATH TO USA" thanks to those shahid haajis who said the words of Muslim Ummah in Mecca city.

Dear, believe me the person who has left his country to Arabian peninsula to worship Allah almighty and Tawaf Ka'ba never attends to attack it LOL. Don't tell me they have passed the security gates of two countries and carried AK-47s into grand mosque and beloved Ka'aba. It is ridiculous, why should a Haaji try to attack Ka'aba. Allah has named it "بلدا آمنا" and has promised to ensure it's safety from any attackers. Remeber Abraha and Ababeel, no one can attack that holy place. Forget about Saudi bullshit, Ka'aba is herat of Muslim which every true Muslim carries it's love in his heart.

Saudi Arabia has supported Palestine in comprehensive ways.

Saudi Arabia was among the states that dispatched military contingents to confront Israel when the latter state declared its independence: https://history.state.gov/milestones/1945-1952/arab-israeli-war

However, a state needs to readjust its strategic priorities in accordance with developments around it and emerging realities.

My naive brother, religious matters are a powerful motivating tool.

Siege of Mecca is a real event and it occurred in 1979:

https://www.randomhouse.com/doubleday/siegeofmecca/photoGallery.php
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/war/mecca-mosque-1979.htm

Equally painful is the fact that it set the stage for establishment of Al-Qaeda Network and more tragedies in the future; a Frankenstein Monster of fanaticism that still confronts us in the form of terrorism and takes new forms with passage of time (Al-Qaeda Network; Boko Haram; ISIS). Shameful is the fact that Ayatollah Khomeini saw in Siege of Mecca (1979) an opportunity to further his sectarian designs and blamed US-Israel nexus for orchestrating it (a BASELESS assumption) and a large number of idiots fell for this narrative-building effort and killed more innocent people (Muslims and others) in the aftermath.

http://www.convergencestride.com/2015/03/siege-of-mecca-1979/

Sectarian agenda and narrative-building is a lethal combination that can blow up on our faces anytime. I hope you come to terms with these ground realities one day.

This is the situation of Muslims today:

An overview of Shia-Sunni split: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-1400-year-old-divide-explained-a6796131.html

[Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allah (Surah ar-Rum; verse 33)

Followed by:

[Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has. (Surah ar-Rum; verse 34)

---

The least we can do about it is that we cultivate a culture of critical thinking and/or questioning narrative-building efforts that incite violence. We also need to stop blaming USA and Israel for all forms of EVIL prevalent in the Islamic bloc and do some soul-searching. This isn't to say that Israeli atrocities be overlooked and US be allowed to invade any Islamic state for its political objectives but we need to keep in mind that they exploit political and sectarian rifts in the Islamic bloc to their advantage. This is why it is important to seek consensus-building in the matters of faith (with fact-checking initiatives and scientific discourse) because sectarian divisions fuel politics of power and export of ideologies that are not welcome in other states. What comes next is the madness of securing more allies in the region for sectarian/political interests and subsequent instability and conflicts. Consensus-building in faith seems to be an overoptimistic expectation but we can make difference by cultivating the culture of critical thinking among Muslims and discouraging efforts to radicalize masses for political gains. Ayatollah Khomeini types are a major threat to harmony in the region because they are products of centuries-old sectarian mindset and are not pragmatic in the matters of foreign policy.

Daesh and their masters in SA have proven that their brand of Islam is nothing short of terrorism!

Hi,

It can be stated that isis sponsored by the saudis and the U S got started for a cause---to take out Assad---but then things went out of control---isis went out of control.

So---state sponsored terrorism and sabotage---murder mayhem was not the original goal---.

But the original goal of iran is always state sponsored terrorism---murder----mayhem---chaos---sabotage.

The start up of Yemen war is the payback to saudis for isis in syria by the iranians---.

The poor yemenis got crushed in this devious plot by the iranians---.

Crimes have been committed against humanity by these terrorists in mass scale and then the patrons of these terrorists have the audacity to point fingers at others. It's irrelevant to the innocent victims of these terrorists what the 'original goal' was.

You don't have to dig that far, check my posts about Syria in the past six months. These zionazis and their pets are the greatest patrons of terrorism in the world right now.

The best way to deal with it is not to give them the opportunity---. Keep the mouth shut---keep your head down and keep building on your strengths---and keep building on your strengths.

Pakistani politicians blast Saudi-led coalition amid row with Qatar

Senior Pakistani politicians and lawmakers have denounced a controversial Saudi-led military alliance that has been dealt a severe blow following a diplomatic rift among the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf region.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a senior leader from Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Party (PTI), during a session of the lower house of parliament on Tuesday called for clarity in the Pakistani government’s stance regarding the issue.

Qureshi, who served as Pakistan’s former foreign minister, also expressed serious doubts over the Saudi-led alliance’s intentions to work together in the fight against terrorism.

"Initially, it was said that the coalition was being made against terrorism but Iran was kept away and now Qatar was set aside on the pretext of supporting terrorists."

The remarks came days after Farhatullah Babar, a senior senator from Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and a spokesman to former President Asif Ali Zardari, on Thursday told lawmakers that it was becoming "apparent" that the Saudi-led military alliance, headed by the former Pakistani army chief General Raheel Sharif, was against Iran.

"We were told that the alliance is against terrorism, but it appears it is against Iran," Babar said during a session of the senate, or the upper house of the parliament.

He also urged the Islamabad government to recall the retired general.

"Now that the cat is out of the bag, will the government call [Sharif] back?" Babur asked.

The senior leader of the PPP further asked why the government had issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the former army chief to assume the command of the coalition.

In addition, Pakistan's Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani wondered whether the government had disowned Sharif because the stance of the alliance towards Iran is contradictory to Pakistan's own relations with the neighboring country.

"The king of Saudi Arabia has said the alliance is against Iran," Rabbani said, adding, "Has the government disowned Raheel Sharif?"

The news of the controversial appointment of the former army chief sparked controversy in Pakistan and was denounced by some politicians, retired army officers and intellectuals, as well as Shia and moderate Sunni Muslim leaders.

Opposition lawmakers consider the decision a violation of a parliamentary resolution passed in April 2015 that called for Pakistan to maintain a policy of neutrality, particularly in the Saudi aggression against Yemen. The Saudi campaign, which allegedly seeks to restore Yemen's ex-government to power, has killed over 12,000 Yemenis, according to the latest tallies.

Some political activists have blamed the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for colluding with some royals from Arab monarchies over the issue of the campaign against Yemen.

Pakistan had initially found itself in the crosshairs as Saudi Arabia named it as part of its newly formed military alliance, without first getting its consent.

In December 2015, Saudi Defense Minister Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the formation of an alliance of Muslim-majority countries, which now numbers 40. Riyadh claims the alliance has been formed to fight extremist groups such as the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group.

The intentions of the alliance have come under scrutiny after Saudi Arabia and several of its allies cut all diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing the Persian Gulf country of supporting terrorism and interfering in their internal affairs.
