It is sad and ironic.
The Brits love the Yanks.. and they both speak the same language generally.
The Europeans that now seemingly get on so well with each other have a similar language base.
Pakistan considers its best friend to be China.. yet most Pakistanis dont understand a word of Chinese or share Chinese culture.
Indians consider their best friend to be Russia..yet many Indians dont understand a word of Russian or share Russian culture.
Pakistani's and Indians can usually understand EXACTLY what the other is saying, have cultural links.. yet are quick to turn around and spew hate at each other at a moments notice.
There is no need for reunion or whatever..but what should have been normal, good relations.. are a mess due to the mistakes of the leadership of both nations.
I would have mentioned the Chinese and Taiwan as well, but the dynamics of that relationship are different.
One could also bring up the North and South Koreans.. but NK is closed off behind a curtain.
Us two on the other hand, are completely exposed to each other's culture(usually undistorted) and lifestyle's..
yet leave no stone unturned when it comes to finding faults and critique.. or to ridicule and hate.
