aiman reminds me of a nice mid-90's serial "farmaan" broadcast on the indian doordarshan tv channel... the serial's setting was a nawabi family in the hyderabad region.

aiman shahaab was the name in the serial of the pretty heroine... her real name is deepika amin ( maiden surname despande )... she has uploaded the episodes on youtube and below is the first episode :

her nemesis in the initial days in the serial is azhar ( "azhar nawab" ), the scion... he was played by handsome kanwaljeet singh with flair and flamboyance... the dialogue i best remember from the serial, and which is very useful for us tharkis, is when aiman bibi and azhar nawab are picnicing in a forest reserve... aiman offers a apple to azhar nawab and he says with a straight face "amma hawwa ne baba adam ko seb khilakar jannat se nikalwaya tha, aap kahaan se nikaalna chaahti hain??" and she angrily replies "khwaabon ki duniya se". i like what he said and will use it at the right opportunity.

and he calls aiman as "khwaab".
