There is un-necessary demonizing of Islam, by the hands of fake mullas, who are actually taking the gullible away from Islam in the name of Islam.
We have to drop this nonsense of criticizing Islam because bunch of what ever are spreading falsification in the name of Islam.
All we need to do is challenge their falsification, instead of running away from the name of Islam, it reflects nothing but unawareness, same time exposing your weak side to your enemy.

Afaik, Pakistani laws cannot be changed without being presented by members of national assembly, being discussed and voted in parliament.

Still, I agree to the point they CII not helping Islam at all, much better to dissolve it.

I personally, see this drama organized by collective politicians to neutralize the claims of violation of article 62 63, which demand applicant to be a good Muslim.

While all of you are arguing about the minimum age of marriage .. Take a moment to think that in the under-developed areas people still take daughters as a disgrace .. If such a law is passed putting an age limit to the girls' marriage age .. Parents will again start taking daughters as a burden and history of people before islam will repeat .. With abortions right after knowing the gender of the baby to burying girls alive .. And killing them . Cause that lilttle hope of illiterate crapy parents of getting rid of their daughters will fade away .. We should look at the a matter from all angles .. Some other steps for women's right have to taken before the passing of this law .. Or else we will be causing a large scale murder of young girls..

16 year age is too less,minimum age should be atleast 18 for girls.

BD laws say 18 for girls and 21 for boys but Pakistan is way more conservative than Bangladesh in terms of religion. So their law says minimum 16 for girls.

“Sharia allows men to have more than one wife and we demanded that the government should amend the law,” he told reporters after a CII meeting.

Seems like a Mullah got horny after seeing a baby girl and wanted to sleep with that little girl. That's why he just issued a fatwa.

But we are looking at the people this law is being made for .. What else do you think is the reason for marrying your daughter early .its to get rid of her ..beacause people think she will bring shame to the family .. Things like this still happen .. Someone hasnt been watching the news for a very long time .. Women are killed for honour and then the ocassion is celebrared ..

although im sorry, that you think that i m one of those who just commenting on posts, i belong to a very conservative NIAZI family, but my mother was from karachi a urdu speaker, even she have to wear burqa,s whenever we were in MIANWALI for vacations?
i was a soilder myself & went to very backward parts in our country.

This is not a problem in the educated class .. But something has to be done for the not-so-fortunate girls .. In balochistan while outside , crossing the hilly areas and stuff , women arent allowed to wear shoes so they keep looking at the ground for any thorns and dont raise their heads up .. Because its disrespectful
And in the interior sindh they marry girls to the Quran and lock them up , and divorcing the Quran is "kufr"
And there is no point in passing a law in pakistan because we follow the motto "ITS LEGAL AS LONG AS YOU DONT GET CAUGHT " and no one ever gets caught..
