MY WIFE ALMOST DIED
The purpose of making this video is to create awareness regarding poor medical practice. Please share and spread this video as much as you can so we can save other babies and mothers and save families from unnecessary heartache and trauma.

Every institution is like a mafia here in Pakistan. No repercussions for anything. No one is responsible for anything here in Pakistan. No one like to take responsibility for their work.

Doctors in Pakistan just like any other profession in Pakistan have become toxic. The working environment is very Toxic at the end whoever goes through this system comes out as a Psychopath devoid of any reason and morality. Government has rather than helping made things worse. There has been a recent Flight of Doctors to UK, USA (Not every can afford it) and Gulf . People have gotten fed up with the attitude of their colleagues and government. I have been unable to find any OET Seat for the current year myself inside Pakistan. The ones that are available are in Srilanka and UAE. One of my seniors is working in Lahore, I met him on EID he told me his colleagues there were surprised because he was being polite with his patients. This is the situation in most hospitals.

As far as the C-Section goes this has become a trend many women who don't want to go through a normal birth go for it and most Gynecologists are usually happy to oblige. Some Doctors have made it a habit as they make easy money from this. The absolute indications of C-Section are very few and rare but as there is money to be made this has become an endemic Problem. As anyone who has had C-Section has to go through it again in all Subsequent pregnancies. There is also increased chance of uterine rupture and Morbidly adherent placenta both of which could require hysterectomies thus making women sterile.

Can we have a list of Medical Students, Doctors (with their specializations) listed somewhere on PDF, so they can be instrumental in providing insights on threads, like these.

Not a doctor, but still I have read before that the C-section rate in Pakistan is really high compared to other countries. I will try to find and look for the news sources.

One in five babies comes into the world by the cesarean section (C-Section) in Pakistan. The most recent report of Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey (PDHS) shows a rapid increase in the rates of C-Section deliveries, from 14% in 2012-13 to 22% in 2017-18. Is the C-Section rate too high in Pakistan? The answer would be a definite YES. World Health Organization, in its statement, recommends that C-Section rates higher than 10% are not associated with a reduction in maternal or neonatal mortality (WHO, 2015). Current rates exceed the World Health Organization recommendations, suggesting that Pakistan is part of a trend worldwide of having C-Sections for non-medical reasons.

This is soo true
Normal delivery is cheaper and C - Section is expensive so that the gynecologist earns more money

Gastroenterologists will encourage Endoscopy procedure EVERY TIME and Obviously nothing new comes out of it just to earn more money

Anything involving more money in a operation / Test is encouraged by qualified doctors even though there is no need of it

These specialists foreign or local whatever, are GOING TO TWIST FACTS IN ORDER TO EARN MORE MONEY SPECIALLY IF THE PATIENT AND HIS FAMILY ARE ILLITERATE OR HAVE NO ACCOMPANYING FRIEND OR FAMILY DOCTOR

In US, it's mandatory to give 10 or 15 mins per patient time but here they see 20 patients in 10 minutes to earn more money

Some LAW NEEDS TO BE ENACTED TO FIX 10 OR 15 MINS / Patient by consulting doctor so that there GREED can held in check

Young , recently commissioned doctor here.

I don't know whether there was an indication of c-section or not but one thing I can say for sure was the presence of surgical sponges in her reproductive tract was gross negligence. There was a pretty good chance that she would have died of septic shock. That mistake should have never had happened.

He should sue the hospital and the doctor for negligence. This is the only way things will improve in our country. Hit these crooks in their pockets.

@truthfollower
Though I am not saying that people don't exploit ignorance for money. Recently, a fired guard made an elderly women to be operated for money..

When my first child was born, my wife went through C-section. She is herself a doc. She was operated by her Prof. So, I can say that no greed was involved.

After that my wife explained that the pain was excruciating and inn future, she would straight go for C-section. I didn't mind as she is a Doc herself.

Recently, I got treated for Appendicitis. I spent 3 days in pain before the treatment and 2 days after. Now, at least I do have a hint what birth pain would feel like.

The reason why we have more C-Section cases is the money, people having more kids like my Cousins has 6, 2 natural birth initially, and 4 by C-section. (I mean when u get old, u prefer less pain.)

So, it is a mixture of exploitation, getting rid of the pain, etc etc..

Yeah I know of at least two people who had a similar issue - medical sponge left inside after operation.

You'd think there would be procedures to ensure that sort of thing doesn't happen but apparently not.

Doctors per thousand population:

USA: 2.6

How can such a law work in Pakistan?

Unfortunately it's true. Mafia in each and every sector and there is no punishment, no writ of govt. India is even worst.

Most conman practice in India the doctor cites a fake reason for an emergency C-section, even though the patient would prefer a natural birth. I think private hospitals of being the most scalpel happy in india I am not sure of the extant of C section abuse by doctors of Pakistan but in India it used to be a norm in private hospitals but this trend is slowly changing and a long way to go

I'd rather no medical opinion rather than an invalid one.

Also Pakistan should take a leaf out of the UK model and have prescribing pharmacists and prescribing Nurses. These are especially trained pharmacists and nurses who can comfortably deal with common ailments and minor injuries and can prescribe medication accordingly.

A lot of the doctors must be seeing people with minor injuries, blood pressure, diabetes, colds and flus etc.
